Nice bass!
And my favorite color lipless crank colors (not the Red Eye Shads though..) are firetiger, red craw, and chrome with black/blue back. Best last year was on a lipless and best this year so far is on a lipless. Been a sad year for me so far, only gotten 2 bass..

Re: first four pieces of my collection
^I agree, I can make a cast and during the time my lure is in the air, I switch hands and even switch thumbs on the spool. Pitching is a little different but I don't think I miss anything while I'm switching hands. I fish LH spinning and RH casting.
Back to the topic though... Sick setups!

Re: Spool Shaft (middle) Bearing Function?
Thanks for the replies. I've read before that it doesn't matter as much as the 2 outer bearings but I guess they were wrong.

Spool Shaft (middle) Bearing Function?
It's the bearing located in some reel's spools. To remove it, you have to take out a pin. Just asking because I'm thinking of upgrading some bearings on one of my reels and the Boca bearing kit only comes with the 2 outer bearings. Is this bearing that important? Would running 2 ABEC 9 bearings with...

Great job. I might have owned one or two of these if Shimano made these in full grip.

Opinions on Pflueger Patriarch XT?
I got a few extra dollars and I might get this reel to pair up with my 705CB Glass. Any input on it? Likes, dislikes, pros, cons, ect..
Thanks

Re: What do you look for in a rod?
This is actually a hard question for me to answer and I don't really have an answer because I like to stick to one particular brand. But I really look for a rod that I can use for many different applications (most versatile rod for that particular thing I bought it for) because I mainly fish from sh...

Yes, I have an FTO jig box and its been collecting dust since I've gotten it lol. I use a regular Plano box with dividers for my jigs.

Favorite lipless crankbait retrieve
Ok so I posted this up right before the forums crashed and never got to read the replies.. So what's your favorite lipless crankbait retrieve? I'll start by saying mines is a straight steady/medium-fast retrieve next to cover. I'll try to keep my crankbait touching the bottom or right above it. I've...

Re: Heavy Swimbait Reel Suggestion
For 9" wooden punkers I like to use my 300e with 65 or 80 lb braid. I don't throw the smaller punker but if I did, I would use the 200e. All my other swimbaits get used with a 400te.

Re: Favorite Jigs and Colors
The 2 main jigs I throw are Bass Patrol and All Terrain A. T. Jigs. For colors, I tend to stick to colors that match the Bass Patrol jig colors. I will switch up colors if I'm not getting any hits but my go to that I always throw first is always a darker green colored jig. As for trailers, I only us...

Re: Dobyns vs St-Croix and the winner is....
I voted for Dobyns but if my fishing partner was voting he'd go St Croix. It's personal preference to the majority of us because we'd favor one over another. And from the rods I've held/used, Dobyns rods are much better balanced compared to St. Croix rods.

Re: Which has a lower profile
The Curado sits lower than the D7 but I find the D7 more comfortable to hold. Both are comfortable to me though.
