Looks like the Dobyns rods will be a legitimate contender in the middle rod market. I just hope the Dobyns split grips balance a little better than the Powells. Do the Powell's use Lamiglas blanks as well? I imagine TMike is a Dobyns Pro-Staffer...are you already using these rods?

Pure Fishing makes the Excel, and Toray makes their XPS fluorocarbon. Not sure about the XPS mono...
