Re: SS Air or 16 Aldebaran BFS
For short casts Alphas Air is doing a good job, it's when I'm trying to get max lenght with the very light spinners I sometimes get into problems. I mostly fish from shore on a small lake up in the mountains where it's often some wind so maybe SS Air is the best alternative then. I sometimes have pr...

SS Air or 16 Aldebaran BFS
I currently have an Alphas Air which I'm using for light lures. Most of the time I'm using it with a Major Craft Corzza 652UL BF, I also have a Megabass Pagani AIR BAMBOO F0-61PB Rosso Elese which I'm using for light tackle. I'm using 0.20mm mono. I'm looking for a reel which is better for casting 1...

just to clarify, My steez is a Steez A. Not the steez sv tws.
I saw you had Steez A, but I'm not aware of any Steez A without the TW system.

Re: SCORPION BFS vs ALPHAS AIR vs G1 1012 SV
I have Steez SV (non TWS version, but I have T3 SV as well so I know TWS is not making a large difference for these light casting weights) and Alphas Air. Steez SV is OK from 4g and up, for 2g you should for sure go Alphas Air, the Air is also better for 4g. For casting 2g I strongly recommend Corzz...

Re: Need some advice/info about BFS reel.
My favorite rod for 1500C is Megabass Pagani Air Bamboo F0-61PB, I also like Major Craft Corzza 652UL which is a much cheaper alternative.

Re: Need some advice/info about BFS reel.
I'm also a big fan of round reels, but for the lightest jobs I now prefer Daiwa reels with SV or Air spools. Below are my 1500C's modified for UL. Both reels are heavily modified using UT Reel parts, shallow spool, 8 + 1 bearings, aluminum line guide, carbon tex brake, ceramic prawl. These reels I'v...

Re: Cal.Conquest VS Morrum ZX VS Bay Ryoga(2014)
I have both Conquest and Mörrum ZX IVCB4, if comparing with a non DC Conquest I prefer the Mörrum due to the externally adjustable centrifugal brake. Mörrum is a very well built reel as well.

Re: Daiwa Air reels which one ???
The Alphas Air spool weighs 8.4g with HH Air BFS bearings.
Alphas Air don't have the line limitations of the two other Air models, it can use any line type and dimension and will be much more robust during fishing.

Re: SS SV vs Steez SV
Well my conclusion at this point is that nobody really knows. Or if they do, they're not participating. I've read every post regarding this topic on here and other forums. One person was confident the Steez was worth the extra bread, stating it is indeed more refined, has a bett...

Re: New Steez TWS
JDM Steez SV has magnesium side gear plate (I have one), look at the US Steez SV gear side plate, it looks exactly as SS SV side plate (which I also have) which is made in a synthetic material.

Re: New Steez TWS
The Steez SV sold in US is a lower specified reel than the EX and the JDM SV. Both these reels have magnesium gear side cover, the US SV has Zaion like SS SV.

Re: Major Craft BFS rods
Ok. I have relied on information from Major Craft and other retailers telling me that the 692 XUL is a regular action rod. I do not own a XUL but instead the 692 ML, which is extra fast and not suited for moving baits (spinners, crankbaits) in my opinion. There are users on TT who ...

Re: Major Craft BFS rods
Thanks, I then really need to get hold of one. A bit longer and with deeper action than the Corzza this seems like an ideal rod for me.
