Re: My 2013 Starting Lineup
See your a fan of the PX-Type R haha! I really like mine! Really digging the IS71HL as well! The PXL-R is one of my favorite reels.. behind the IS line of course. I'm a lefty too, I've always coveted the IS line but I have to start saving now for things other than JDM tackle so I have to seek somet...

I really like that Air Beam reel seat, the only thing is the trigger looks a little too round for me... But overall a great addition to your collection. Reminds me I need to make a JDM purchase soon...

That is the case for their more value based rods but I'm not sure if that is the case for their upper echelon lineups.PittsBoy wrote:Megabass blank are made in china then the rod is assembled in japan. That's no secret.aussiebasser wrote:Proof?BenWIlks wrote:made in china

Re: Megabass hits bassmaster.com
I still find their lures interesting enough (although maybe they're overdoing the 110 thing just a bit), but these days the rod and reel lineup is starting to feel more like tarted-up Honda than Pagani Zonda... Once again, I'm thinking the same thing, glad I'm not the only one feeling the way. Thei...

Re: Megabass X4 vs X7 buy now or wait
My x7 Cyclone Advantage arrived the other day, should get it out for a cast in the next few days and provide some feedback. Seems like a nice stick though, much stiffer than I thought it would be, but thats an advantage for the fishing I do. I'm thinking of getting that one, how is it for you? For ...

Re: JDM reel shopping terminology
I would assume most of that is right... But a lot of it is just the fact the shops don't understand English very well .

Re: Ultra rare baits?
How about these? They're probably a bit older than you meant, but lure collecting is fun and interesting. http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k526/PCW77/Lures/Slopenose-2pb_zpsc114db06.jpg A Heddon Slopenose from the early 1900s. Re: Big trouble at local Bass Pro shop....
I don't have any faith in them keeping those lures very long. In my experience Basspro tends to attract more of the customers that are used to crankbaits that cost about 5 bucks, not $25. But still interesting to see that Megabass is finally getting a foothold in the USDM.

I've been feeling the same way, but only time will tell for now...bigreddog wrote:First Bass Pro, now this. I guess Megabass isn't JDM anymore.
Too bad, I still love their older stuff. These days, it's like they've sold their soul for profit.

Sounds like a truly memorable experience. I know how you feel, losing a trophy fish is very hard to deal with. Always try my best to make my catch makes it back into the water in the best condition possible.

Re: PX Type R
Mine is my goto river small mouth reel. I have it on a steez 7-1 compile x with 10 pound sniper. This thing will pitch or cast 1/8 oz football jigs like crazy. Only other reel like it other than a pixy is a steez with a megabass spool. Me too, but I use mine on a Destroyer Criffhanger. Really good ...

Re: MB FX Knuckle
I really like mine. The colours are great and the changeable lip is really neat. The action is great too. Caught some fish on it but plan on using it a lot this year. I don't why they just now started endorsing it so much as it came out awhile ago. I think it was sometime around August-September.
