Re: New Daiwa reel?
Probably another Tat variant. *yawn*. Daiwa hasnt been impressive since the Tatula came into the game. Kinda killed them to me anyways.

Re: Line Diameter
If you think that line diameter is gonna 100% accurate through the whole entire spool, then you are a little off canter... got to factor in the winding, processing, etc. No possible way that a line that is "flexible" will retain 100% true. That's why we sample 5 different points in the fishin...

Re: Line Diameter
I always order line based on diameter, not what they say the # test is. That’s the way to do it... but unfortunately, as today’s review demonstrates, sometimes you can’t even rely on that info without measuring it for yourself 🤨 If you think that line diameter is gonna 100% accurate through the who...

Re: At the end of the day, did you like the 13Fishing Concept Z?
I got one during that $99 sale online. Played with it a bit one day on the water, not too bad. Fits well in the hand, and casts ok. But, then I decided to rid the bushings for some factory Doyo bearings. Casting is better for me, and that weird buzz while casting is gone. I know the reel was more ge...

Re: Titanium Framed reels?
Plastic parts on firearms is limited to grips and accessories is it? No one is making plastic actions or barrels. Plastic drag stars and side plates are fine but I want my frame to be metal at the very least. I would prefer a metal drag star and dual side plates just to make the reel feel nice, sol...

Re: Scorpion 71 vs Curado71
Not an ideal reel for frogging, due to what has been mentioned...spool capacity. All the new Shimanos, to me, have problems in one way or another. The gearing in the 70/71 series is better IMO than the K since they dont have the MMG.

Re: New Worm Gear Material
Ive been on this debate when I first ran across this "plastic" in the worm gear and pawl. Was I happy about it? No. Did I see the same things that the poster is seeing in Shimano products as of lately, yes. I was told it was ceramic by someone else (not Bantam), who was a "know it all" and worked i...
