Re: Show us your Sol
Looks awesome. That spool does so well in that reel. Which drag star is that, SLP?

Zillion TRS 100P Gear Options?
I have a TRS 100P on the way and was wondering if anyone knew what gear options are available for it, preferably i am looking for something in the 7 or 8 range. I don't believe it will get much use but I definitely wouldn't have any use for the 4.9 gears that are coming with it. Thanks

I am rooting hard for you man. I would think you could make some cash back on this if you get it dialed in. Love those reels! Would love them more if i could get a 7 gear ratio.

Re: What are You PUNCHING with?
Ultimately I always go back to this zombie rod. I really love this rod for braided line and i use 80# camo power pro. With the abu gen 2 STX reel it’s comfortable and light. If you have the zombie 7'10" (pre Dee Thomas rod), I understand why you keep going back to it. That is my favorite for 1.5-2....

Re: Megabass Levante rods best enthusiast bet on a budget?
Have you picked up a loomis E6? I fished one of my buddy's E6 with a tube on st clair and couldn't believe how well it compared to my nrx 853c jwr i was using. The color bothered me a little but for that price, it's something to consider for sure.

SV spool under performing
I have changed bearings and can confirm they are not the cause, but can anyone tell me what some common problematic issues to look for when a sv105 spool is not casting far at all? Seems like the magnets are set to 10 and i can barely get 25' distance on it. I swapped reels and spool bearings with a...

Re: Rapala Shadraps
36 for the SR07 and 41 for SR08. The rapala SR07 could probably handle the extra payload of the beefier owner 41 style if you really need it, but the 36 is already a really strong freshwater hook.

Re: Rapala Shadraps
I would recommend you always change the #5 hook on the Rapala shad rap. They are a weak treble hook and will bend over a prolonged fight with a good size fish. They do not deserve to reside on such a fine bait as the fabled shad rap. Owner #4 Stingers is what Rapala surely meant to attach to SR07 an...

Re: NRX 852C Uses
I don't get to fish tubes for smallmouth much, but i was amazed of the way that rod transfers the slightest tick through the zaion knobs when I had it paired with a is73c viola.

Re: Single hook size for LC 110?
I haven't changed them on a 110 but I have on rapalas. I replaced size 4 hooks with the suggested size 1 hook from owner and I found that the replacement hook appeared to be way to small for my calibrated eyeball. I was more concerned about the weight difference and hydrodynamics affecting my balsa ...
