Double Trouble Shimano Sedona 1000Fi and Kuying TopCaster Review......so good we take another look
Shimano Sedona 1000Fi.........inshore salt water reel? by Craig DeFronzo I know, you rolled your eyes George. The truth is that I am a Shimano guy. In 40+ years of using them I've never experienced a problem that I couldn't fix myself. I've tried other brands and always quickly came back to Shimano....

Re: Flea market find ...
I know I mentioned it to you in the PM........but it is timely and worth noting......... I am actually just finishing up work on a review of the Shimano Sedona 1000Fi that accidentally wound up on my Kuying TopCaster for redfish and Snook this past summer. I'm not sure it is a UL forum topic but the...

Re: $100.00 BFS Challenge
Thanks for very comprehensive and creditable wrote review! Obviously those Tsurinoya Dragons are faster and better casting than corresponding Kuying Tetons? (In my opinion Kuying Tetons are very nice rods but not long casting.) It is apples and oranges. They are different rods and shouldn't be expe...

Re: $100.00 BFS Challenge
I am looking into the spool for the Spirit Fox. I wonder if it is the same size as the XF 50.
The XF is 12.5gr and the Spirit Fox is 9.5gr.............3gr difference is huge and puts the spool in close proximity with the big guns.......if not exactly the same as most.

Budget BFS.......one of these things is not like the others. by Craig DeFronzo https://i.imgur.com/Ccv3ZxG.jpg One of these things is truly not like the others. The BFS niche' is expanding. More and more products are being made to meet the demands of this increasingly popular type of fishing. The pr...

Re: Revo S
BFS reels can cast tiny lures due to their lightweight spools. Generally a BFS spool weighs under 10 grams and the better ones are closer to 8 or 9. I'm not sure what the Revo's spool weighs but it is likely more than what is necessary to be considered capable of casting those sub 2gr baits consiste...

Re: Tsurinoya Pro Flex II Spinning rod
Interestingly enough, the past couple of days I have been tying Titanium hook keepers to many of my Asian Market rods. .......mostly Major Craft rods, a couple of Kuyings and a Tsurinoya Dragon. The phrase on blank of my Volkey between the split grip is "Racing Spirit".........someone commented that...

Re: Tsurinoya Pro Flex II Spinning rod
Well since I didn't get any feedback about this rod, I decided to go with something that I know and that was a Kuying Rainforest 702M. I have been tearing up inshore snook and reds with the Kuying TopCaster ML spin, and wanted a medium power rod to go in between the TopCaster and a pair of MH rods a...

Tsurinoya Pro Flex II Spinning rod
I am interested in this rod. Does anyone have any experience with it? There is a 672ML and a 702M.
I notice the handle looks like a Major Craft Volkey and I know Tsurinoya copied the Volkey on their older Elite series right down to the graphics. Any info on the Pro FlexII spinning rod is appreciated.

Re: Kuying Teton arrival, unpacking, first impressions ...
Looks nice. I just got my Ace Hawk 2 piece rod. Comes with a light and ultra light tip. The rod was like $37. It shipped in PVC and came with a rod holder as well. My initial after 1 trip on the water is this rod is UNBELIEVABLE for $37. It feels like a quality rod. Is Ace Hawk a Kuying rod? I've n...

Re: BFS Training Line
That poor Trulinoya Volkey 65UL knockoff broke in half on hookset. What is this Volkey Knockoff you speak of? The older Trulinoya Elite. I think I jammed the ferrule into the top section too hard and weakened it. This was my 1st ned rig and 1st BFS fish. I was testing the BFS waters with the Elite ...
