Gamakatzu dropshot size sizes 4,2,1 and their wide gap finesse for thicker baits.

Re: New Flipping Rod??
I have no experience with the Megabass but have two DX795's. The balance is fantastic for a rod at this length. The action is not too fast and is braid friendly. There is more than ample power to punch with heavier weights. I pitch with 1/4 oz. plastics with them too. It's a great stick.

Re: shrink wrap for Dobyns rods
Accu Cull Grip Saver. I have three rods done with it. It sticks, no slipping, only enlarges the grip slightly and is durable as all get out.

Re: Daiwa Steez SV vs. SS SV vs. Zillion SV TWS
I also picked up an SS SV on sale. It's been spooled with 12 Invizex and casts a 1/8 Bitzy Bug Jig a respectable distance. I understand the noise issue. My SV103 is quieter. May be it's the frame material. I like the reel very much regardless. A Steez is on my wish list, new or pre owned.

Luhr Jensen 1/4 ounce Hot Lips. Don't let the non conventional bill spook you, it's a great bait.

Re: Is there such a thing as too many rods?
I think the IRS should embrace a rod stimulus tax credit. That's what brings a nation out of a financial recession.

Re: Dobyns Mike Long 784
I have the pre HP 784ML. The rod serves triple duty. Football jigs, exposed hook lighter swimbaits and lighter texas rigs pitched. All are fished on fluorocarbon. Sensitivity is very very good. I think a lot of it has to do with the balance of the rod. For a 7'8'' rod, it's pretty neutral with a Lew...

Re: Dobyns Champion 735CB Glass
Don't keeps us wondering too long. I also grabbed the 736CB and chatterbaits have not been effective but a 1/2 ounce spinnerbait has and the 736CB has been a blast to fish with. I heard the 735CB was something like a 3/4 power under the 736CB????? I'd love to hear your opinion if and when you pull t...

Normans outsourced by PRADCO
I just got an order of Normans DLN's for fall Smallies. Made in Guatamala. My favorite mid depth CB ever. I hope they perform the same as baits that were made in the USA. We shall see.

Try the manufactures contact us email address and ask. Are you writing a thesis for your masters? Seriously, I friend of mine was a rod designer for Lamiglas. He is with a different firm now. When I toured the factory I asked him what model in a specific entry level bass line/series, being run that ...

Anyone know of any aftermarket parts that I could replace the stock knob with on the new CT? Looking for a black one and the old Tatula knob does not fit.
