I like cranks between two and two and a half inches. Duo baits are sweet. For shallow cranks the offerings from Evolve are hard to beat. My favorite mid depth bait at the moment is the Spro little John MD.

Be patient with your pauses and selective with your cadence. Much more of a versatile bait than some folks give credit for.

I honestly don't think this is happening as much as you suspect. Pictures can be deceiving.

Order the handle collar that accommodates the drag star. I've found when putting swept handles on reels that original had straight handles, sometimes they required the thicker handle collar like the Zillion type r. Not sure why, but there wasn't enough clearance to get full drag rotation.

Any package over 150 cm in length can not ship EMS. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Vinnie is spot on. 17 lb is overkill for jerkbait imo. I use 13. Armilo is a little slicker making it slightly more difficult to tie knots.
