Re: Is there such a thing as to many reels?

Instead of buying more reels, I'd like to save money to buy a couple of top class reels.

Re: Spoons,

The water looks calm and peaceful. It must be a nice day on the water. Caught my first fish on a spoon a few weeks back. Fish schooling and chasing shad. Pitch in and drop to the bottom hop it off the bottom and they hammer it. Make sure you use a swivel! Trust me. I use 30 lb braid and a mh 7' 3" r...

Re: Anyone bought the new ex steez?

can I use T3 RCS 1016 spools for the old model steez? I want to get one if it does. I ended up buying 3 old model $300 each from bps. what is the real difference between the ex model and old model? Longer crank, nicer finish (very subjective), some porting and an elaborate campaigne claiming the sec...

Re: Anyone bought the new ex steez?

I have small hands like regular japaniese size. I like small handle. chronarch 50 feels way better than 200 to me. That is the reason I like the feel of old steez in my hand. I would like to get one and try it they do look nicer with the longer handle. I think so but then I like longer handles. Putt...

Re: Why do Americans not use braid?

I think braid only has their place for over 20lb.
Fresh water is a under 20lb world so there is no need for braid.

Re: Gloomis warranty?

That is good. I think the reason they treat old model differently is because it is shimano's rod indeed. I have not had a older G.Loomis replaced but after registering all my NRX rods with Wild Cards, I emailed them about the cork falling from the forgrip of my old 873NRX, I stated it was registered...

Re: Spoons,

Caught my fish fish with spoon 1 month ago, even though I tried really hard to fish with spoon during the past two seasons.
It is just not a technique for me.

Re: Jig or T-Rig?

I don't like t-rig, because it is a chore to put on the weight, tie the line.
I like simple rigs like wacky style, or just jighead.

Re: Rod for Alphas/Pixy

I just bought a dobyns dx701c to pair with my pixy.
I am not impressed.

I think the key about the rod for small reel is the lengh. It cannot be over 6'6.
I am actually looking for a 6'3 mlxf type of rod to pair with my pixy.
