Re: who makes the best lube and grease?
same...Hot Sauce really does the job nicely. Doesn't give that resistance feel of some other lubes.

Re: Thanks to Jeremy Sweet from Shimano for the interview
I really enjoyed the interview, and I hope we get to see more of these! I thought Jeremy's answers were good. I just wished he could go into more detail about what we can expect to see at ICAST, but I understand why he couldn't. I have both the Japanese and US Chronarch B, and I have found Mr. Sweet...

Re: Poll: Who Makes the Best Glass Bass Boats?
I have to check the exact amount but I believe out the door the boat was 36K. The boat has the works, Minn Kota Maxxum, 225 Opti, Lowrance GPS/finder in the dash. Doesn't look or feel like any of the other boats I have fished out of. The dash feels more like a racing boat cockpit than anything else,...

Re: Poll: Who Makes the Best Glass Bass Boats?
I wasin love with Rangers, then Triton's, but after riding around in my brothers new Basscat Couger I can honestly say this is the best boat I've ever been in. They are fast, stable, and the attention to detail is awesome. The boat feels like it is really handmade and the styling is just plain buff.

Re: Trinity Smallies
Hi John, Yeah I totally agree...its all about the transition bass right now. I think part of the problem is just getting out of the mindset of fishing shore cover, I know I'm just plain used to fishing the skinny and lose confidence the further I get from shore. Also wondering how much guided trips ...

The first Quantum reel I ever tried, thanks to TT. The Quantum Energy PT-Xmetal turned out to be an awesome reel. Its refined, reliable, and reasonably priced.
Second favorite is the 7 Foot Kistler Helium that its paired with. Kistler rods rock.

Best undersized reels?
I am looking for a small reel for 2wt fly rod. Basically just going to use it for smaller stream trout, and as a backpacking reel. Anybody have any reccommendations? My maximum price range is around 400 dollars...but I'd like something that will last.

Uvas Lake
I fished Uvas lake in the SOuth Bay today out of my float tube. I don't know why I keep coming here. I caught 2 fish since morning but both were so small I can't believe they took my cranks. Anybody catch anything decent here lately?

Re: Pontoon Boat Questions
I have a Water Skeeter and a Outcast. The Outcast is the much nicer boat, and there are many more options. The material is thicker and the boat seems to sit higher out of the water then most of my buddy's rigs. In terms of 8' and 9' the 9' makes a huge difference on moving water stability, but if yo...

Re: Castaway review
I bought one last week and so far its been great. My only complaint would be the mounting bolts. I think I may have over tightened 2 of them and it looks like I stripped the thread on the bracket or the screw....not sure, but I can't back it out now. Its ok since I intend to keep it on top of my car...

Re: Anderson Lake, under the bridge
I used to pull 4 and 6lb fish out of there 2 years ago, but I noticed a lot of people fishing on the south end (becuase its free I'm sure) that I saw taking fish home....sometimes big ones too. I think a lot of the decent fish have been wiped out...how sad.
Calero here I come.
