Re: Steez racing design guys

Ygk 22lb to 8lb gama flouro with fg knot Ah, well IMHO You should try going straight fluoro. Unless you're swimming baits or actively dragging them across the bottom it's just hard to tell you're getting a bite on braid. Even with a $1000 rod you'll be line watching just because braid doesn't trans...

I didn't like my Jackson rod either.
Looks sweet with the Zonda hedgehog but it’s dead feeling. I have recently caught a few off beds with a trd and I set the hook when I saw the fish swim away cause I never felt a thing.
Using what line?

Steez racing design guys

I'm looking to replace my 6'8 Jackson super trickster pp finesse with a racing design for Ned's and shakeyheads as I feel my current rod is lacking greatly in the sensitivity department. My question is do I want the 6'8 or the 6'10. I believe the 6'8 is a medium and the 6'10 is a medium light, but t...

Re: Megabass Valkyrie Rods

Got out on the water with 6’11 mh Valkyrie today, the rod is very nice. I only fished it with a 3/8 jig with a Flappin hog trailer but I did catch 5 with it. Nothing big but the rod is very sensitive and has a sweet taper to it. With a zillion sv the rod balances under the reel. Anyone looking for a...

Re: Megabass Valkyrie Rods

Just had Valkyrie 6'11 mh show up yesterday. The rod looks beautiful. Balance's right on the front of the locknut with the but in the standard setting. I was a little nervous with the weight because specs say it is a 197g but it certainly doesn't feel like that at all. Hopefully I can get it on the...

Re: Expride Med

I have 6'10 med expride 1st gen and it is excellent for jerkbaits. I wonder if the 2 gen is a lot different from first. The price for the 1st gen 6'10m was 349 about 90 more then the 2nd gen. The only 2nd gen's that cost that much are the 9ft rods.

Re: MLF/BPT opinion

I feel like there is not easy access to watch or follow bpt. Haven’t payed one bit of attention to it. I also don’t like the format, so I just started to follow the new guys as I find the elite series and flw more interesting.

Re: What are your thoughts and experiences

I typically don’t use a jerk bait year round more spring and fall so you may be able to get away with the right rod for jerkbait and topwater. The expide would fit the bill and I have always heard great things about the Jdm destroyer hein. For Texas rigs I would look at the fmj first. If you want a ...

Re: What are your thoughts and experiences

What are you looking for your rod to do? I have first gen 6’10 m expride and it is an unbelievable jb rod. I use it for 110 jr, reg 110 and 110 +1 and I have used it for 1/4 to 1/2 topwaters with excellent results. I have the chimera which I already commented on and I have javelin which is my favori...

Re: Couple Megabass Rod Questions on Orochi XXX

F6-611 Mat Bucker and the . F5-610 Chimaera Anyone have either of these two rods? looking for some real time feedback I have the chimaera what would you like to know? I would say it’s a true fast action rod with a decent backbone. It’s light and balanced. I got it for 1/4 to 3/8 Texas rigs but have...
