Re: Best Buzz Frog/Toad

As far as casting distance goes the Rage Toad has been the best I've tried. I'll agree with the previous poster on the durability of these baits, it isn't very good. I haven't tried the double hook from Owner yet but my main toad hook is the Owner Twistlock 3X and even this hook doesn't help much. 1...

I've been told this is coming but that's all I know. No details what so ever.

Re: Stella vs. Steez (spinning reel )

Another vote for the Stella. I only own one at the moment, a 3000 FD, I'd love to try the new FI.

Re: New loomis Rods

I have an E6X 843 MBR that feels almost identical to the IMX 843 I used to own. Action and power wise that is, I feel the old IMX was more sensitive. Overall I'm very pleased with the new E6X rod.

I agree and this is why it's also my favorite fishing site.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

I got out for a few hours this afternoon and actually had a little luck. Caught 6 in all but the day could've been much better as I had 8 bites on a frog but was only able to land 3. The rest either missed the bait or just had the legs, several swirled behind it. It won't be long now though until it...

Re: Zodias or E6X for 200 dollars?

After handling both side by side I was much more impressed with the E6X rods, guess that's why I purchased 2 a few days later and am planning on picking up at least 2 more.

Re: Got my new alphas sv

Nice! I'm a Shimano guy but this Daiwa definitely has my attention. I used to fish both (Shimano & Daiwa) but decided to go with a single brand so I sold all my Daiwa's except the original purple Alphas. It was my favorite Daiwa so I'm thinking about looking into getting this new version.

Re: Daiwa Alphas Questions

I disagree completely with DavidSA, I have the original purple Alphas and it's a great all purpose reel. In fact it even says as much on the box. John- isn't the line pickup on the original alpha like 22ipt?? been a long time since I owned it but I recall that with 12# FC I could throw off 70# of m...

Re: How hard is it to use a BFS?

I'll have to agree with SteveSchmelzle on this one, I think it is very possible to be just as accurate with spinning gear as casting. I, personally, am not but I think I could get there within a year if I stopped using casting gear altogether. I enjoy my casting reels way to much for that though so ...

Re: Quietest braid

The quietest braid I've personally fished is PP S8S. I've not tried Daiwa, the new P-Line braid, or the newest Seaguar offering. I hear all 3 are pretty quiet. The "braid noise" doesn't bother me at all so I've gone back to regular PP for the most part.

Re: To keep or not to keep the old Zillion /TDZ form factor

I really liked my TDZ, Fuego, and Zillion reels so I would definitely keep a few of these around. I've since "moved on" to all Shimano reels and sold all of my above Daiwa's but every now and then I really wish I'd kept the Fuego & TDZ. I don't miss the Pixy, Steez, or Zillion. Oddly enough the only...
