Re: ygk gsoul 112
I have 15lb yellow on spinning rod.
I cant tell a differnece between other braids....casts a little better...a little. Also it bleeds color pretty quickly....
Im disappointed at this lins for price. Maybe higher test would see exponential difference in sink rate

Helix 5 si on my dads tracker is hard to read.
Would be perfect for my kayak. 7 inch minimum for front deck or console

Re: When to use Sunline Sniper vs. Shooter
2 reasons for using shooter in 18 and 20 lb...at those diameters you lose sensitivity so by using shooter you gain some back. Also if you use 20 lb you are likely in heavy heavy cover so the abrasion resistence of shooter will help.

Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
Didnt mean to cause a stir. I forgot my smackdown was 65lb compared to 50lb jbraid.
Still nearly as thin and just as smooth. After a couple more outings Ive still yet to have my jbraid bleed

Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
Finally bought some! 50 pound green.
Just as smooth and thin as smackdown at half the price! I also experienced no bleeding.
I spooled my spinning reel with sunline sx1 in chartreuse and after a few trips its white...bleed like crazy. Going to strip it and use as backing and by yellow jbraid

Re: Daiwa T3 MX 1016
I dont have the mx but I have two 1016s and I love them.
I use them for frogs, pitching, crankbaits...anything. Their spool is one of the best daiwa spools for lightweight applications

Sunline Armilo
Im preparing for next year and im looking at buying 13 pound armilo. I plan to put it on a rod I would use for topwater, hard/soft jerkbaits, and ocassionally spybaits. Has anyone used it for jerkbaits or is it too bouyant? Also, I use sunline reaction FC on my reaction bait setup. But Armilo is che...

I have a 7'1" ML tatula I use for dropshot and I love it.
Excellent tip and good backbone.
If i needed another finesse spinning rod I wouldn't hesitate to get the 6'11" tat
