Re: Chatterbait Hook-Ups
What chatterbaits are you using? Some of the cheaper Z-man ones have awful hooks that need a lot of touching up.

Re: Smaller reel for braid with Glide Baits
There are also smaller round reels, I have been using a Ringa SSS for 1-3oz glides/wakes for 2 years now with no issue. For me a smaller round reel palms more comfortably then a larger lowpro. I have used it for heavier lures a few times and never felt like it was being overpowered.

Re: The Thoroughly Capable, If Somewhat Uninspiring New Alphas
This is what has kept me from picking up any of the newer Daiwa reels, I have so many 34/33/Pixy spools that it's hard to go outside those ecosystems.

Re: Costly Mistakes
I have taken a $300 bath and eaten a $500 breakfast sandwich. The bath, in Vegas back in the day when the internet was newer and hotels charged by the minute. Logged in, forgot to log out, got drunk, took a bath, didn't log out for like 4 hours. Was a nice shock the next day. I am sure I clicked thr...

Re: Frog Rod that’s not 7’
JL - I just thought of another really good option to consider! The Megabass XXX Mat Bucker Type-L Check that one out as an option for a powerful, shorter frog rod! I was looking at the Lilypad Survivor pretty hard before I decided to really commit to "short" and take a chance on the Black Label. I ...

Surprised that The Godfather/The Godfather II wasn't the first response.

Re: Frog Rod that’s not 7’
You had me at 844c. If it is one rod that I honestly miss it’s my old 844imx’s cause I had two but one had the webie seat. Sucks to remember selling them If I could have found an old 784c or 724c GLX rods, I wouldn't have needed to look much further for my short frog needs. The 631MHFB-FR feels ver...

Re: Frog Rod that’s not 7’
How short do you want to go? I got onto a shorty frogging kick a year or so ago, I think I posted a thread about it with some info here. I ended up with a Daiwa Black Label LG 631MHFB-FR and love it. It's like a sawed-off 844c with a slower taper and it's really sensitive despite being from the "Lim...

Re: '21 Glorious
I could be wrong but I don't think this UL/MH is a solid tip. from what I read it is a new stick evolved from previous 610UL/M with a bit more powerful butt. Arena has the 610UL/M spinning which a friend of mine likes it better than NRX822 DSR :laugh1: I am on a quest for The One True Weightless Tr...

Re: '21 Glorious
This one has caught my eye. The 3-21g lure rating make me think it's either a solid-tip rod, or functions similar to one. Is this a type of rod that has been in the general Adreana family before?

Re: New Poison Adrena
I dont know about 7’2” model, but 611 m+ model is, IMO, awful stick for jackhammers. With jackhammer entire rod shakes like a glass from a train passing by. I personally hate it. Hah, I get the same feeling from the 611M+, but I love it! It's a good, constant reminder to slow down my retrieve, I al...

Re: Longer handle for Steez SV TW
I bought some no-name 100mm CF handles from Aliexpress like 2 years ago and they are shockingly good for the $10 I paid for them. Knobs when on fine and shimmed up tight, there isn't any play to speak off in the shaft slots. The first few times I really put a load on them I expected them to strip ou...

Re: Point Blank Rods BFS Build
Take a rod you don’t care about, cut the trigger off, sand the edges smooth, and take it for a spin to see how it feels for you! ... Zander can’t wrap his head around my crazy wraps 😂😂😂 Hah, I know, but I am going to feel like a real chump if I end up hating it and then have to see it every summer,...

Re: Point Blank Rods BFS Build
How do you grip it when casting? I always use two hands to cast, so it's never an issue not having a trigger. Quite the opposite. I find it annoying. I guess I use the trigger as a sort of "brace" on the cast, like I keep my pointer finger indexed on the rod and use the pressure from the back on mi...

Re: Point Blank Rods BFS Build
That is really stunning.
How do you grip it when casting? I keep thinking about cutting the trigger off of my fluke rod for easier palming while working the lure, but I am not sure how I would like casting w/o it.
