Re: hot sauce vs reel butter
Hot sauce for sure. I use it on most of my gear, plus it looks cool on the level wind of my red Zillion 50th.

Re: Seasonal approach to bass fishing
Does your approach to fishing change with the seasons with regards to style/baits? For example, do you start in spring with smaller baits and a slower technique such as t-rigged plastics...then in summer, go to power fishing with spinnerbaits/swimbaits/crankbaits...then in late summer when the bite...

Re: Can't catch a fish on a jig.. ahhhh
Great question. In terms of technique everyone has got it pretty much covered here, but my favorite jigs are Gann's jigs (http://www.tackletour.com/previewgannsp ... ackle.html) with a Power Team Lures Craw D'oeuvre trailer in black and blue swirl.

Re: Dobyns DX701C and Inshore Fun
All of my inshore fishing takes place on the middle to upper Texas Gulf Coast with occasional trips over to Louisiana. All of these fish were caught on 5" Gulp Jerk Shads or Texas Tackle Factory Red Killers or Hackberry Hustlers rigged on 1/8 oz lead heads. From late March through November I almost...

Re: New crankbait rod
The 764CB RM was one my top picks for my latest crankbait rod (going to cover all my med and deep and heavy shallow cranks), but I ended up going with the 765CB Glass. The 764CB RM should handle what you're planning on throwing perfectly. The only other one I'd recommend would be the 705CB, but tha...

Re: Reel for Legend Elite
I just bought a Daiwa Certate from BPS a couple weeks ago and love the feel of it. I haven't gotten to fish with it yet, but it feels great. It's a little over your budget at $200. However, I don't know if you'd even be able to find one now that BPS's reel trade in has started. The guy I talked to ...
