I don't think Reels have anything to do with 50lb braided lines. at least the fish have a chance to live with MONO. Braided lines can actually rip a fishes mouth with a strong hookset. You have to be very careful with these new braided line. First off this stuff is incredibly strong for its diameter and with no stretch it can lead to trouble. I picked up a G Loomis MBR 783C GLX with a Japan Shimano Antares AR. Light, sensitive, smooth. What more can you ask for? :lol:

I recommend the Saltiga over Trinidad. I have tried both and favor the power of the saltiga and the reel is so DAMN PRETTY!!!! Gear ratio allows greater power per crank and has a wicked drag!!! :lol:
