Re: Daiwa bearing oil
If I remember correctly there is a chart here somewhere on the forum on oil viscosity and they are both the same. My red pixy and 50th ann zillion came with the red and my type r zillion cam with the blue. Both bottles are the same shape.

Re: True Wake Baits
Not exactly a crankbait style wakebait but I"ve had a lot of luck lately on the Rapala BX balsa wake bait. It is 5 1/4 inches and weighs 3/4 oz so it casts great. Usually use buzzjets ,roumbas, and ms slammers. I wanted something a little different and this fills the bill. Just another good option.

Re: daiwa millionaire cv-z 203A
Been using mine for throwing swimbaits for the last 12 years. Mostly slammers, baby possums, and a hud once in a while. Only problem was an anti reverse bearing which probably my fault for not getting regular maint on it. The drag could be a little stronger but when it starts to slip you know it is ...

Re: Deps Buzzjet Hooks and Split Rings?
the hooks and split rings that come on the buzzjet aren't to strong. Have broken 2 hooks and straightened out a couple split rings too. Maybe try to upgrade from the origional when you buy.

buying a conquest in Japan
My boss is going to Japan for 2 weeks. I mentioned he should pick me up a reel and he said sure. Can you buy a conquest anywhere or are special shops that sell them, just like you can't get a steeze at your local mom and pop tackie shop. I don't want to put him out but would like the reel. Also Japa...

Re: Black light headlamp?
I use the red on my headlamp . It gives the fish an awsome look when you take a picture of it. Also seems to help with the night vision. Only put it on when I have to.

Re: Falcon coastal
I bought 2 Coastals for $30 each on markdown a few months ago at Academy Sports. One,a medium heavy, I sold to a friend who works at Bass Pro,(for $30) because he wanted it to use out of a kayak while fishing the salt marsh for speckled trout and redfish. Uses a Chronarch 50E on it. Very satisfied....

Re: Megabass fx knuckle 60
Finally got a chance to throw mine on a couple trips. Not to sure I'm all on board. The snap I use gets caught on the lip once in a while and the weeds seem to get caught between the lip and body more than other baits. I have to say that I"m fishing weedy areas. It does catch fish and in certain con...

Re: Falcon coastal
Thanks for the replies. Going to get a couple of the 7'6" M in the spinning model. The only spinning rods I have left are a St Croix 7' ml avid and legend elite, the grandkids and son have the rest. For the price I can't go wrong and I"m sure all the kids will grab them. Don't want them to take the ...

Falcon coastal
Just wondering if anyone has any experiance with this rod? The local Walmart has them on clearance for $30.00. They have both the spinning and casting in 7'6" med. Lure rating 1/4 to 3/4. Would that be a fast or moderate action? Was looking for an all round spinning rod for myself for the rare ocasi...

removing hook keeper
I want to remove the hook keeper on a daiwa tatula 7'7" m. I fish a lot at night and it seems the line gets cought on it at least 3or 4 times a trip. Don't want to cut it off so there will be sharp edges. Is there a way to remove it with out damaging the blank. thanks for any help.
