Zillion Type R
I have a Zillion variant on my X4 Destruction and it is a pleasure to fish. I love my Z, but for baits that require a hookset I much prefer the Zillion.

Re: How many will survive?
I see 13 fishing sticking around for a while. I have fished their envy series quite a bit. I don't own one, but I have a friend that swears by them and has let me use his. I must say I was very impressed. They performed on par with rods much more expensive and also have aesthetics that are very "JDM...

Re: Gigas vs. ZPI Techno Formula MG
I know exactly what you are talking about with the line slipping off the walls of the spool. However, it has never seemed to be a problem for me after I filled the spool up with line. With that being said, I have a ZPI RC-001 spool in one of my personal orders. I really love the spool and it perform...

Re: T3 Project
I don't know why the conversion made your brake useless, mine functions normally It didn't affect the braking at all, however the spool tension knob is non-functional now. I have done this mod before and this did not occur. I don't use spool tension on any of my reels, so it doesn't bother me. I am...

Re: T3 Project
The T3 arrived today. So far I have an ITO Engineering Cf handle on it, ZPI Machine Cut Aluminum red knobs, and the Megabass IS Finesse spool in it. I removed the brass shim from beneath the black shim under the palm plate bearing. I don't like how it makes the spool sit offset slightly toward the p...

T3 Project
I purchased a T3 1016H from TW while they are on sale, with the sole intention of it being a project reel. So, here is what I want to know... If it were you, what mods would you do to it? I am thinking: Megabass IS Finesse Spool Hedgehog BFS Air bearings CF handle Hedgehog Studios Dress up kit (colo...

Re: Which Loomis for Daiwa PX68 SPR
From what I am reading, and the techniques you want to use the reel for; if I were you I would just pick up a PX-R/PX68, slap a set of Boca ABEC 7's in it and call it a day. Unless you are looking to throw super small cranks (Sub 1/8 oz) the PX-R/PX68 will do everything you need it to.

Lets see those Megabass reels!!!
Be it the nature of TackleTour to have a taste for exclusive (and generally very expensive) tackle, I feel it's only right that Megabass have a special thread for their owners, afflicted as they may be, to post up their gems! I personally love to see what other individuals have purchased, as well as...

Re: hook setting question
I don't set the hook. I just douse my lures in that crawfish scent they sell at the local Wal-Mart, and the fish hold on throughout the entire fight. No hookset needed! Heck, you don't really even need hooks!    The lake I fish predominately is so pressured that I really only fi...
