The BCR803GLX is electric. Almost surgical.

I also liked that place. Bought my first Scorpion back in those days and I still have a couple Cabelas Platinum spinning reels (Ryobis) that Dorge highly recommended.

Re: What do you look for in a rod?
1. It has to meet a baseline of quality. I don't need Evergreen level quality, but I'm comfortable in the $100-200 range with about any manufacturer. Maybe a little less ($) or more some times 2. The handle must be comfortable for the technique. Gunna spend a lot of time with it, so it needs to feel...

Thanks for the replies.
It's going to start the season on the Kistler. It seems like a good match and I'm really looking forward to using it. Sounds like a pretty amazing reel.

Premier 2010 Is it power, finesse, or both?
I bought a Premier 2010 6.4:1 a couple weeks ago and I'm trying to place it on one of my rods for all around use. Does the reel have the guts for blades and cranks, or is it more of a finesse type reel? The three rods in my lineup I'm considering are: TD Zillion 7' M Kistler Helium LTA 6' 9" MH (200...
