I'll buy the 103 but do you think it worth a OG Zillion for the 105h TD-X?

Ahhhhh....I see... I got a friend that paints cars might bring it to him.. I know he sometimes uses plastic paint on stuff..

I've seen a lot of TD-Xs but until now have never seen one that looked exactly like the TD-Z...he's got the 103 and 105 and they look exactly like a TD-Z.

The reason I ask is the "goldish" one I just replaced was even kind of gold on the underside as well, maybe I just never noticed it before. All my replacements are shiny chrome with no gold tone... They look very close until you hold them up to each other...

Did some of the old Zillions come with "goldish" nosepieces or is that a sign of age? And if it is can it be polished. I have Zillions and on the nosepieces one is definitely more gold than the others. I never really noticed it before but there definitely is a difference...

The temptation to build them up a little and have custom painted is ever present!

Do the internals compare to the TD-z? I was thinking of giving him $125 He also has a 105 version of this same reel, I think he wants to trade a Zillion for it.

I fish with a friend who said he has a mint TD-X 103 for sale, I told him to bring it by and let me take a look. It's definitely a TD-X but it's got the TD-Z body and frame. Gold spool and cc Cap and what appears to be cheaper controls. Can someone give me some info on this reel...and what I should ...

I only have one aftermarket spool for one sol, a megabass honeycomb but it's green...not a good look..

From what I can figure out the difference between the Advantage HSTA and the Tierra 153h is: A better drag 4 more bearings (handle) Swept handle Swept drag star Nicer finish The spool is the same as many other things Already put upgrades in drag, bearings, and Zillion drag star...soon Zillion handle...

Thanks, the 100mm Tatula HD handle looks good on the US Trail as well. Going to do the Steez A handle, drag star and CC cap on my TD-Z 103p as well. sorry about the sideways pic..I had my wife post it so I guess I shouldn't be surprised it didn't work right...
