Re: School me on round reels
What are your line capacity requirements? If you run braid exclusively, you may have some options available that otherwise you wouldn't if you're running a thick 30# mono or something along those lines... Oh crap, the guy that's probably going to sell me the reel showed up. Planning on braid ...

As long as you're not the one selling me the reel, "money is no object "angry john wrote:Depending on how much coin you want to drop there is always a mono block and lin. The megabass black jungle is a beast.

School me on round reels
Hey guys, wanting to get a round reel for targeting some of these big toothy critters we have up here, but outside of the low profile bass reel market, I’m lost. Pretty much the only round reel that I’m even aware of the existence of is the Shimano Calcutta. I’m not terribly brand loyal. I’d have no...

Drop shot, but I’ll be screwed because there’s a good chance that’s what I was already fishing

My 843s is pretty light. Not the lightest rod I own, but close.majayyer wrote:Dang. Those are unbelievably light. Maybe I should grade my nrx.

Re: Knot question
Thanks for the replies guys, I think I’m going to take a spool of line to work with me and practice at my desk.
With the light line should I be increasing my number of wraps?
Going from 20# Samurai to 7# FC sniper.

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods
If it makes it a year, anything that happens to it is operator error. It is eligible for the expeditor program too True on blanks, but guides, bindings, reel seats/glue are different IMO. Also a function how often a rod is fished re: the above. I'll agree to a point..... though most people that are...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods
This might be very important. You will want to clarify the warranty. I assumed it would have a limited lifetime warranty like other G. Loomis rods. My tackle shop says it only has a one year warranty (like Shimano rods). I sold my NRX for one of these and now I wished I hadn’t. There is no way I am...

Waiting on Stella
(Just a precursor, this is way better if you read it in your head either in the voice of Morgan Freeman, or the guy that narrates the movie A Christmas Story  ) Friday, 08:00. 22 degrees F, a light snow is falling over the frosty landscape of northwest Pennsylvania. I wait in nervous anticipati...

It was printed in Dobyn's own newsletter, release around Feb 2018, so if it is just a rumor its coming straight from the top.quantum angler nt wrote:Is it possible this is just another rumor?

Stradic CI4 End Cap - Not Red
Bantam,
I was hoping you could direct me to a reel that has a threaded end cap that would fit the knob on a Stradic CI4 2500F? My objective here is to find a replacement knob end that is not red that will be a direct threaded replacement into the knob.
Thanks
