Re: Any disadvantages to O rings?
When I fish O ring senkos in lakes with no trees or brush, I use a circle hook, and never tongue hook fish. Carolina rig with a DEPS weedless circle hook and Owner CPS pin is also great. I was initially skeptical about a weed-guard for circle hooks, but i have not lost a single fish due to it and i...

Re: 6.3 for Texas rigs?
By that logic, a bi-plane was fine back then, why wouldn't it be fine for today's warfare? If the technology is available and doesn't cost more for a faster speed, i dont see why you wouldn't want to go faster. It is easy to slow down on a faster speed ratio, but very hard the other way around.

Re: Any Carp guys here?
I see a lot of people bow hunt them in my area, but always curious on what they do with the fish afterwards. I have always considered carp as the trash fish, as do the majority of fisherman here. So do these folks eat them? I don't want to judge them but these guys drive $70-120k trucks (raptors and...

Re: Favorite JDM jig

I still have my STC-69M, they are great rods for the price. I don't see anything wrong with them.

Matt said it is one of his top 2 jerkbaits. I think i am going to pick up the MG Western Clown and Matt Tiger soon. I am not really in a hurry since bass season isn't opened here yet.

I use those Hayabusa Wacky weedless hook Gary posted for Neko and other rigs, they are very good. They have cutting points similar to Owner's and are plenty strong.

Re: Which 2 rods and reels are you guys going to mainly use this season?
I have been neglecting my spinning setup for a long time, so this season i plan to use them more than my baitcast setups. I will be mainly throwing drop shot, neko and shakey head with these two setups; TKLS-70MLX with Exist Hyper Custom 2508 8lb Tatsu TKDS-63L M-1 with Vanquish Limited C2000HGS 4lb...

I am thinking of picking up 1 or 2 of these soon. Has anyone tried them yet and what gear did you throw these on? I haven't use any jerkbait even remotely close to 1 oz before.

Re: Reins Bubbling Shaker
Yes 1/0 of the Owner drop shot offset hook or the Roboworm rebarb light wires. Just reel in and sweep just like a single hook, do not jerk it.jerkbait22 wrote:Pen what size hook are you using on the 5" for Texas rig drop shot? 1/0 offset?

Re: Reins Bubbling Shaker
They have become my favorite drop shot plastic last season. I use the 4" nose hooked and the 5" texas. I bought some 7" but have not try them for neko rig yet since i still have plenty of the reins swamp mover for that. Purple weenie is killer in the midwest and i can attest.
