Also you benefit greatly from upgrading bearings on the spools. I use spinning for drop shotting and walleye fishing only anymore. Maybe in the world of bass fis...

Re: Controlling a Kayak
You can the mirage drive in backwards on a Hobie to reverse, the native watercraft propel yaks allow backpedaling or if in a paddle yak, I just fish with the paddle on my lap and if I'm being pulled a couple of one handed strokes (of the paddle) is usually enough. Small anchors on kayaks are a godse...

Re: T3 AIR -Air Mode
So 4-10lb braid in freshwater might be ok? Looks like a great reel for bassing tight creeks. This is pretty clear: Freshwater only Nylon, flurocarbon or monofilament line only :-s Thanks pal but I wasn't asking to have what I've already read parroted back to me, I was looking for an educated guess ...

Re: Why do Americans not use braid?
Interesting. So are you guys actually punching some sort of lure through weed to clear water beneath? What sort of lure can do that without hanging up?

Re: Why do Americans not use braid?
Ok, this has been a very interesting discussion, here's my next question. Why do you guys use such heavy braid? Your bass don't grow particularly big and from what I've heard don't fight particularly hard, why are guys using 55lb braid? Especially when most American made braids break at way above th...

Yep, once you've got it down it's easy to tie. Just takes a bit of practice.

Spectacularly pointless, nobody's making reels from diamond and the composites we're talking about aren't graphite. Thanks.

A little bit of language here and there if that sort of thing offends. Re: Over-wintering Batteries
My deep cycle that runs the minn kota is on charge whenever I'm not on the water including over Christmas while I'm away for 7 weeks. I was told this is the best way to keep the battery healthy and avoid sulphate build up. You're definitely not overdoing it.
