thats how i do it.

i usually bring 3, unless your really wanting to do a lot of different techniques.
i usually only bring a few baits as well, my yak isnt big enough for a lot of stuff.

i know a few guys who use the jackson coosa for that.

kayaks are really quiet and can you get you into really good spots that a lot of other floating devices cant get you to.
and a decent kayak isnt too expensive at all.
