Re: Curado I
I refuse to get too excited about anything new from Shimano after the last "new models" letdown The Curados have went through MANY changes over the last 15 yrs or so, and if history says anything, this may be or not another flop! :? I'll be waiting till the "hype" dies down, prices go down, and real...

Re: BB1 Pro Or Tatula Type R
I just won a auction on ebay for the BB1 Pro for $150 and I don't know if I did the right thing. I got it in the 7.1:1 gear ratio and I am not sure what to use it for. Any ideas? I don't have a rod yet so I have a lot of possibilities. What do you guys think? using anything over 7 ratio for cranks ...

Re: Daiwa Tatula or Lews BB1 for mid depth cranks????
finding out that the BB1 Pro is a tough cookie to get. the 6.4 ratio is on backorder everywhere. Place I ordered it from say probably March 1st, and even Ebay stores are drop shipping from Lews, and they seem to not be aware of the backorder issue. So anyone needing one quick...............GOOD LUCK...

Re: BB1 Pro Or Tatula Type R
I was/am in same position. I went with the Lews BB1 Pro over the Tatula or Tatula R. I like the lighter weight, more refined external braking, and went on reviews I have read also.
Almost impossible to read ANYTHING negative on either reel! Can't go wrong with either.

Couple weeks ago they had them for $150 shipped, but they upped the price to $160 shipped after selling out of that stock.

Daiwa Tatula or Lews BB1 for mid depth cranks????
Gunna try one of these, which one should I get?
Going to be throwing 6-12 ft runners with it, so I may opt for the 6.3 ratio in either reel.
Like the extra casting distance of both models, and having trouble reading anything negative about either one.
Leaning towards the Lews BB1 Pro.
Thanks
Jeff

TT review of BB1 goof???
Got me a little confused? In their review, they call the Z model as the one with the "multi stop " anti reverse, And thinking its the one that has anti reverse "play", But actually the Z model is the one with zero reverse- anti reverse.....no anti reverse play, ........ Couple Quotes from review: "T...

I have a 7'6" MH fast telescopic, and it does very well, especially for the money, which is around the $70 area when on sale.

Re: 610 mh cumulus casting
I have no idea what Shimano was doing when they rated that rod!
It's more like a medium power x-fast action.
It has a soft tip that goes into the power quick.

Re: Your Next Rod Purchase?
I am going to build my office in a commercial area. I need rods but quality based material. 6'10 MH Cumulus is not a bad idea. I have your link and will consider if it meets my requirements. be careful about that rod if you have never had it in your hands. I had one a couple yrs ago, and it felt li...
