Re: Daiwa: Best Customer Service - Toby
I got a hold of Toby the other day... Finally. Top notch customer service as usual. I had been looking for the Daiwa Tatula Type HD handle to see if it would match the my two Zillion 50ths. It doesn't, ](*,) . It is a little more of a raw aluminum color with a bluish hue to it. It looks okay with t...

Re: Daiwa: Best Customer Service - Toby
been to daiwa a few times for over the counter exchanges and Toby was great to deal with. gotta say daiwa's customer services is so much better than shimano's. every time i would go to shimano they would look at me(and others) as if our returns were suspect! I did a lot of reel repair/tuning for a ...

Re: Daiwa: Best Customer Service - Toby
Props to Daiwa because Toby helped my order get here in two days, but $11 for a 3"x3" box that weighs less than 3 ounces? They should use the soft pack envelopes and charge less for shipping. Just a suggestion.

Re: Daiwa: Best Customer Service - Toby
Toby is great. I ordered a few parts on Monday and I wasn't on the phone more than five minutes. I had a conversation about parts with a female (probably the one mentioned earlier) a few weeks ago and she didn't give me much help.

Re: Daiwa Cielo
You have to be patient because things don't happen overnight in the big business world. I had to wait five months for a warrantied Dobyns rod when he shifted production from China to South Korea. Did Daiwa tell you what they would be sending you for a replacement? I for one would find a five month ...

Re: Daiwa Cielo
I have that same old rod and I love it also. It is an amazing heavy casting jig rod. I'm not a big fan of e-mail. I would find my receit and call Daiwa. They will take care of you.

Re: Level wind bearings
The level wind bearings from the Tackle Trap that I have used for the Zillion and Fuego are bigger than the Daiwa handle bearings. I'm sure that you can find the dimensions by searching the forums. I've seen them on a few threads.

Re: Handle Knob Caps?
I would call Daiwa or the Tackle Trap. They might have them. If not, maybe a forum member has a few that they are willing to part with? The caps do come with Daiwa RCS aftermarket knobs . You can order various colored aluminum caps separate from the knobs from Hedgehog Studio and other Japanese sites.

Re: Where to order USDM Daiwa parts
I've been getting parts from Daiwa's US headquarters for the last 20+ years and they are great to deal with in person or on the phone. You make their job easier when you have the part numbers ready. The lady I talked to on the phone last year meant business and took care of me in a hurry.
