Re: Zillion TW HD ‘22

Yes; this reel is indeed quite small. Here is an apples to apples comparison against the older body in the SLP 9 version. Makes the older one look like a dog in a sense, but I'm also used to capacity with big line for HD versions. TIme will tell. Also, good one from today.

Re: What cold water flat side cranks have you been throwing this year?

I tried Mibrio cheater flat sides this year as a “something new” for me. I got a few in the type c version which is a coffin bill. They are expensive for what they are. But, very consistent fish catchers and with that coffin bill they really breeze around and over grass.

Re: Suggestions for dedicated chatterbait rod

You are just going to miss more fish in the spring. A lot of those fish that you miss are small bucks that aren't fully committed because they are somewhere in the spawning process. You may catch a few more of those fish on a softer glass rod, but you won't be able to move big fish away from cover ...

Re: 21 Luvias Airity vs 18 Exist

Anybody know how long it takes for jdmtackleheaven to process an order? I placed the order Tuesday night and haven’t heard anything back. I sent a couple emails with no response. They're a little slower than some of the other Japanese shops. I wouldn't worry about getting your reel though. ^^This f...

Re: Daiwa's new reel??

I guess this might just be stating the obvious, but it seems like they did sell enough units of these two reels on the first go and repurposed with the new spools. For the steez, anyway.

Re: 21 Luvias Airity vs 18 Exist

I have both and they’re similar. I’d say it would depend on how ‘used’ the exist is if you’ve already found both of these for sale. If it’s a minty fresh exist that’s well taken care of, why not? Most users of these reels don’t beat them ragged and respect them. If want to or like to back reel, the...

Re: 21 Luvias Airity vs 18 Exist

Hey guys, In need of another spinning reel and want to upgrade. Currently I have: Tatula LT 2500 XH which I love Certate LT 3000 CXH which is amazing but I had trouble launching okashira/spark shads as far as the Tatula LT and I don’t like the extra weight of the reel as much. Shimano Vanford 2500 ...

Re: ZPI back to making spools?

Their rods and especially reels must've tanked HARD. They should just stop playing games and go back at doing what they were known for. I think they're pretty popular, just not in the West. I absolutely welcome some new Daiwa spools. Hurry up already! I’m not sure I understand the full story. But, ...

Re: EVERGREEN KALEIDO wild wolf 7

This rod has been a winner so far. Have had it now for about a month and it's more than I expected. It's not the lightest rod, but that’s pretty typical of EGs. A bit over 160 g. The balance is good and it feels solid/substantial in hand. It a very good moving bait rod and handles both treble and s...

Re: Higher End Bottom Contact Rods

Quick question…I went in to my local tackle shop and ordered a Megabass P5 X-Bites. Being in Japan has its perks, it was $330 dollars out the door. Is there anything else in this price range that compares sensitivity wise? I’ll be using it to throw light Texas rigs paired up with a 2021 JDM Zillion...
