Re: Bantam mgl usa vs. Japan
Really hope it ends up that way. Also hoping the line capacity is the same as the Chronarch MGL, some sites have the new Bantam listed at 16/100 though. I was a little bit confused, too - but a line capacity of 16lb/100m (Japanese Standard) is equal to a 151 spool size. And really exciting for me i...

Re: New 2018 Stella FJ and Bantam MGL
@Bantam1: Do you know anything about the spool weight and the right line capacity (because on the japanese homepage is written 100m/16lb or 100m/0,36mm - a typically line capacity of a 200er reel) of the Bantam MGL?

6.2 K - 14.3 grams
The difference is smaller than expected.

That's true. The USDM version has a 151 spool and the JDM version a 71 spool.hokiehi wrote: If i'm not wrong, the JDM version of the Met MGL has a smaller spool than the USDM version.

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW VS Daiwa SV TW JDM
Handle length (80mm vs 90mm) and drag star (Zaion vs conventional).
I prefer the US-version, because of the 90mm handle but don't like the Zaion drag star.

It's great and I think it would be perfect for round about 8lb FC.DirtyD64 wrote: A 30 size spool is getting semi-BFS shallow.

Re: BFS UL OR XUL
The Scorpion and Alphas Air have heavier spools, so the stock reels should not be able to cast that weight quite as far. That said, you don't always have to cast 40 feet to catch fish. The weight difference of the Aldebaran BFS and Scorpion BFS depends on the spool shaft and doesn't matter. The spo...

Re: Curado 70k?
What brake setup do the 70 Avail spools run??? I considered replacing (moving to a Medium) my SV105 with a 70 then upgrading the spool and running 10lb braid on a ML rod, just not much information on the install and brake options... You can swap the SVS-Infinity of the stock spool or use the Avail ...

Re: Shimano Aldebaron 50 for jerkbaits
Is anyone using this reel for small to medium sized jerkbaits, small cranks, small poppers, etc? I have a MB xxx Rattle Viper with a Alphas SV. I want a more refined reel for this setup and because I have all Daiwa's, I want to try something different. Let me know your opinions. I really like the A...

Re: Curado 70k?
I have ordered a Scorpion 71 with an Avail spool (7040RI: http://www.avail.jp/products/ms_16scp7020ri.html) and being curious if the performance will be comparable to the Aldebaran 51.

Re: Curado 70k?
Wish there was a 70 Curado MGL. Same frame as the 70, extra bearing on the main gear shaft, and one hell of a lighter spool. I would gladly pay $250 for that reel. That would be great! Because in my opinion the Curado/Scorpion 71 is quite a nice reel, but the performance with baits lighter than 3/8...
