Re: Terrible customer service at 13 Fishing
Thanks johnd. That's my next step, was just too swamped at work today. I have never ranted about a company before - because I've not experienced something like this before. IMO said company needs to focus on their everyday customers and set things right the first time. I'm sticking with Falcon, Doby...

Re: Terrible customer service at 13 Fishing
Not disagreeing with you Tim. I actually only fished with the rod 3-4 times in the past year but acknowledge it was one year old. What I'm trying to get at is I would have thought their QC people would have at least looked the replacement rod over more carefully before shipping it to me - instead of...

Terrible customer service at 13 Fishing
DSCN0019.jpeg DSCN0018.jpeg I have to share this and inform others of what has been the worst customer service I've experienced from any fishing rod company. I had purchased an Envy A light power spinning rod and it was a sweet action rod for what I needed. But, after a couple of outings I noticed ...

Re: 2016 GLX MBR842C - SMALLMOUTH ONLY USES?
I fish smallies on the Great Lakes. My MBR782 GLX is my dedicated tube rod. And it rocks! It also excels throwing jerkbaits but that's (GLX) overkill and use my Falcon Cara for those, typically. You use casting rods for tubes; never thought of that. I have the SJR842 I was planning on using for tub...

Re: St. Croix joins the long rod bandwagon
Soon will will have to fish from cargo ships to accommodate the giant rod lockers that will be needed. Agreed. I have no idea why they couldn't have made them telescopic. Granted that's not in vogue any more but AFAIK, 8'6" is the max length of most rod lockers, including multispecies boats. Hey I ...

Re: St. Croix joins the long rod bandwagon
Wait until St Croix gets inundated with warranty claims. I envision tons of rod tips being busted off in rod lockers, car doors, etc. Bet they'll rethink their strategy. And I seriously doubt they thoroughly field tested these rods before rolling them out. They seem more like what I'd use for muskie...

Re: Now that time has passed, opinions on recoil guides
I'm with the others. I have both baitcasting and spinning rods with recoils. Other than they seem to be more 'noisy' with braided line, I feel recoils have no disadvantages compared with SiC or Alconite. Do they enhance the feel of a rod in my hands I cannot say since I don't have two identical blan...

Re: I don't understand Enigma Rods
I don't own any but would have no problem fishing with rods AM uses to win AOY. My guess is he is having them make small tweaks each season to suit his liking? At least the price isn't going up.

I've not heard anything but am wondering the same since I own and love me some Envys. You could try emailing 13 - I've done so in the past and always received a quick response.

Re: Any rods beat out the kistler klx for the money?
The envy is not in the same league as the KLX, black or green. That is in my opinion. If you want a $100 rod then the envy is a choice. If you want a light weight, really sensitive rod that catches fish and can afford the $200+ price, then the KLX is a great choice. You have a KLX and know how good...

Re: Steez 7'6 AGS spinning rod vs NRX 901
ive seen way more broken ags come back due to blank failure or broken guides compared to compile x or nrx. I totally respect your opinions but come on - most of us know there's no such thing as blank failure. I've had many a fishing rod in my hands as you probably have as well. The only rods I've b...

Re: Steez 7'6 AGS spinning rod vs NRX 901
cndbasshunter, Way more durable? Are you referring to the respective blanks or the fact that the AGS guides are understandably more prone to damage (from being stepped on)? IMHO, no high end, high modulus blanks are what I would consider 'bulletproof' except maybe the older St Croix Legend Extreme a...
