Re: A couple new acquisitions...
Gorgeous combo! Has anyone been able to test this rod out fishing carolina rigs in the 3/4-1.5oz range? I'm going to only be buying one new rod this year and need something to pull triple duty as a carolina rig, football jig, and pitching rod.

A Steez on sale with the IS BF spool won't run you much over what a new px68 costs. The spool and Steez combo will blow you away, I'm sure of it.

Re: Shimano Curado E video how do they cast like that???
On my Curado I only run two brake pins, and often find myself thinking I should drop it down to one. This is probably because I have gotten used to my Steez. I dial my CC knob just tight enough where the spool will not move from side to side when in free spool, this lets me have more consistency acr...

Only 44,000 yen, dang, that's not bad. I wonder if it's just a a normal Zonda sporting a IS Finesse spool and repainted sideplate?

Re: Durability of aluminum gears
Regarding hard anodized aluminum, I can testify that it is more scratch and dent resistant than titanium. This however I would not think to be an advantage in gears, as tensile and compression strength are what I would assume to be paramount, which anodizing does not offer. Those who know a little a...

Phenix K2 blank for jigs
I am looking at possibly building myself another jig rod and am curious what blank you guys think would be a good fit. I am looking at the TX-715H-C for jigs 3/8-1/2 (undressed). Would this blank be similar to the St. Croix 5C70MHF-G-10?

Re: Jackson Coosa or Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120?
I paddle a FeelFree Moken 12 and often wish that I had the ability to stand and fish. You can stand in it no doubt (though I am light >165) but fishing while standing just does not work. The speed of these boats though I just absolutely love; since being able to paddle to the other side of a 400+ ac...

I have gotten Megabass baits for half retail NIB. You just have to lowball a buttload of them and pray that you don't win half of em or you will be broke

Re: steez 103ha vs sol for casting 1/8oz-1/4oz
Steez with Megabass Finesse spool of course. As woodt said a true 1/8oz weight and nothing else isn't going to be all that great on either reels stock. Now a Pixy with OS bearings or Steez with MB Finesse spool matched with the right rod is a different story.
