Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF

I’m going to wait until this is settled before I judge one way or the other. So far communication has been good.

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF

I have been in contact with Anglers Resource. I’m waiting to hear back and hoping for the best.

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF

Did you measure the dimensions of the blank? If I can get one that feels like the one I received but with more power I’ll be plenty satisfied. The blank I have feels great and would be great for what it could handle. In other words if the actual mh blank feels as lively as this one I’ll be more than...

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF

Who did you order from? Did you ever get the correct one?

Re: Point Blank PB731MHXF

Welp, I took some measurements and sure enough it’s the wrong blank :/ The butt measures the same as a medium and the tip is actually a little smaller than a medium is supposed to measure. So I’m glad it’s not just a terribly rated blank but now I’m dreading dealing with getting the correct one. Thi...

Point Blank PB731MHXF

I received my blank Friday after taking advantage of the Jann’s 10% off for Labor Day. On the sticker it says mh extra fast but under it was a sticker saying fast instead. Seemed odd but no biggie. It’s close to extra fast which it what I wanted. The faster the better. The power though seems a fair ...

Shimano SLX

It’s in at TW and American Legacy. Righties only for now :|

I plan on trying these for myself and my two boys. Looks like they should be good budget friendly combos.

Re: Aldebaran mg7

I was hoping to hear all this. Well maybe not the slight lack of power but still. I’ll have to watch for some good deals on them when my account heals from the recent eBay sales.

Thanks all for the comments!

Re: 2018 Curado DC (Merged Topic)

Been quiet in here. What's everyone's thoughts of the Curado DC now that it has been out for a bit? It’s a fun reel to fish. It’s not the end all idiot proof reel it gets made out to be sometimes but with a little tuning on the spool tension knob it becomes really user friendly. It really does skip...

Aldebaran mg7

How would you rate this reel compared to the modern Shimano 150 size and smaller reels? With mgl reels being the thing now and curado/scorpion 70’s being very popular I wondered if they were put head to head how it would fair. I’m mostly curious about the size/comfort, and of course the braking as f...

Point blank measurement chart

Am I loosing my mind or was there a diameter chart somewhere that listed the diameter at different places down the blank?

Hmmm that’s a shame considering how useful it could be. Maybe the TT guys can put this in their reviews?

I appreciate your time and you trying regardless.

Re: Aldebaran mgl vs. non mgl

I’m considering one actually. I’m a sucker for super light weight and small size though. I have a chronarch mgl that pitches excellent but I’m kinda wanting to build an ultimate combo. If shimano made a magnesium curado 71 I’d be all over that.
