Simple, try it out if you have the urge
If it blows your hair back, spread the good news
Good news= sales
Simple,the converse also applies

Same gear box set up as the bay jigging,50% wider gearbox.
Doubt compatibility, one would have to try

Re: Daiwa Kyohga vs Shrapnel line capacities?
The kyogha has gears that are much larger and stronger compared to the ryoga.MardukFIN wrote:Anyone have a clue, does Kyohga gears fit into Ryoga?
7,3:1 Ryoga 2020 would be awesome!!!
Gear housing is a good deal wider,so I much doubt compatibility between the 2 formats

Yes there is a 2 pin/shoe centrifugal braking system that works without any fuss.LowRange wrote:Are there brakes on the Ryoga based Kohga? The Alphas based one does not and I don't believe the Steez based one does either.
It feels like a Daiwa reel on longcast(t3,Z)
Super free but still manageable

Re: Daiwa Kyohga vs Shrapnel line capacities?
The kyogha has a 36mm spool which differs from the 1016 ryoga
Not really significant,Just worth mentioning.
Best value reel I have ever purchased, need another

Re: Daiwa Kyohga vs Shrapnel line capacities?
Will have a look at the kyohga box later.
I have 30lb sufix on mine. On a long cast it still has 2/3 line left on spool.
This reel launches 1/2 oz lures a mile.
20% further than a T3,that's impressive

The kyogha is a steal for the price.
New handle and away you go.

Simply not enough numbers for Daiwa.
Wouldn't make financial sense.
$500 would be a bargain
