That poor Trulinoya Volkey 65UL knockoff broke in half on hookset.
What is this Volkey Knockoff you speak of?

Re: Eliminating Backlash on Strong Casts

Here is what you do.........pull off about 20ft more line than what you expect to cast when you add a little zip to your casting motion.........then put about a 2" piece of electrical tape on the spool........wind the line back on........you should not have this issue again. What happens when a fis...

Hey earthworm77, any update on the XF50? How do you like it?

So far so good but I want more time with it before I do a detailed review.

Re: Building the Ultimate BFS Rod

I tend to go by this rule when I am building anything from a rod to making baits.........I have to fish it first......so I build the best I can using the best I can afford. Why build something inferior if you can help it?

Re: 13 fishing defy silver

Ooh OK... I have some questions regarding the presso  Do you have the 2 or 4 piece? How are the connections? True to their ratings and action? As sensitive as a $60 rod can be? Would you buy again? Both are 2pc. The ferrules are pretty small and comparable to most modern multi pc rods. Mine ar...

Re: 13 fishing defy silver

If it is any help, I have a pair of US Presso UL's a 5-6 and a 6-6 and they have been fine.
I also have a bunch of Kuying rods including 4 Tetons.......no issues with them at all.
Good luck!!

Re: 13 fishing defy silver

I looked at the reviews from TW and more than a few mentioned the rods breaking around the 2nd guide from the tip......I'd stay away.

Re: Broken rod and rehab ...

This saddens me. I broke a 2pc rod at my cabin and was looking at your repair as an option to try. It was a cheap Max Catch rod that cost me 24 bucks so, I am not going to worry about it. I wish it worked out for you though.

I'm not condoning the Baseball juicers or Lance Armstrong for using steriods......the bottom line there is that those guys did have to actually make contact with the ball and win races. Hiding fish in secret live wells to cheat at tournaments and snagging record fish, lying about lake records.....et...

Re: Broken rod and rehab ...

Awesome repair job, the only concern I have is the Devcon. I'm not sure how flexible that will be.
I have stopped using it on my re-paints as well. It made a decent clear coating but there are better ones for that application.

BTW, Ghost peppers+ will be in the mail when I get back from NC.
