Core over the Ci4+ but huge step up on the Metanium over the cores. Smoother, more power, and fits nicer.

Re: Conquest v.s. Metanium
okay, i didn't start this thread but you guys have talked me into a conquest 50 anyway. can someone point me in the right direction for buying one? do i want JDM or USDM? i'm thinking with the excellent dollar-to-yen exchange rate right now, it'd be cheaper to buy JDM. links to good sellers appreci...

Re: Conquest v.s. Metanium
The CQ50/51 is a must have in my books....one of my favorite reels. Built like a tank and probably one of the smoothest reels available. To me the Conquest is the #1 baitcast reel from Shimano.

Re: poor service
So, they send a replacement reel for $25.00. You unpack it, fill it with line and do nothing to test the performance, knowing that your original reel had to be returned? Now, you're complaining about poor service and losing a fish? what do u expect the guy to do...if a repaired product comes back a...

Re: Protecting reels from boat rash?
Only sure way is to put the covers on them. Bouncing around on the front deck against the carpet or each other will certainly beat them up. The simple Bass Pro Shop or Shimano covers are easy to put on and remove. If you think about it, it only takes 5 seconds to do it (if you keep the cover of the...

Re: Tatula handle nut plate options
Elongating the hole in the plate is a great idea but unfortunately I am using the Tatula stock screw which has small head. I don't have any larger headed screw :( It's good to know that Shimano plate fits. Do they come in one size? Or do I have to get a certain size/model reel? Many thanks Just the...
