Re: Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
That is correct, they are not in full production yet, and I also am glad for the changes. It's a great rod as well as a good lookin' stick!

Re: Very Limited Kistler LTX He2
That is a great looking rod, but those changes actually came about during the 2007 model year. If you'll check back you can see where I hinted to that a while back. Sure makes a good looking rod, and fishes great too! Congrats!!! The He2MC66 is my all time favorite rod for jerkbaits and topwaters!

Wouldn't be the first time that Castaway bought into a company and then voted the founder out and took over. That's how Castaway was acquired!

Re: Dobyns Powell?
I really can't give you an answer based on experience since I've never actually used either the Dobyns or the Powell, but going off the Dobyns spec sheet that was posted on here, for an "all purpose" rod I would be looking at the 684CB or the 683C. Now that is just my opinion based on the spec sheet...

Re: Dobyns Powell?
Interesting, but the powell does list the 704 CB under Spinnerbaits, Topwater, Carolina Rigs & Senkos. So I guess I'm still a bit confused. Mr Dobyns did say it is technique specific and right now the powell model if listed correctly is perfect for what I need. The dobyns I'm assuming won't cover a...

Re: Helium for Cranks
For deep cranks, (DD22, Mann's 20+ and such) I use the HE76MHC. For shallower divers I use the HE70MC and the mag series composite rod.

Re: Should Pro-Staffers Make Their Allegiance Known?
Okay, I'll go back and change liars to dishonest and deceptive to keep the wording correct. I am proud of my sponsors and my sponsors products and would never lead someone on to try and get them to buy it by keeping my affilliation a secret. If I need to I'll do like JohnnyA and start my replies wit...

Re: Should Pro-Staffers Make Their Allegiance Known?
I don't get it. This is not about hostility, or bashing. It's not about what is enforceable or not. It's about intergrity. If you are sponsored by a company it should not be a secret. It is inherently deceptive to promote a product when you are part of their team. I understand when Tiger Woods driv...

Re: Should Pro-Staffers Make Their Allegiance Known?
Correct me if im wrong but isnt it a forum rule to post your affiliation with a company? Its all stereotyping them in a way saying that all pro staffers or people with affiliations with that company almost surely defend and recommend it even if a better recommendation exists. This probably is mostl...

Re: Should Pro-Staffers Make Their Allegiance Known?
Thanks Mike, I appreciate the kind words! With that said, I was kinda pickin' at mhood as a carry over from a previous thread, in jest, I might add, but at times it does seem like us tournament guys are not too welcome in some of the posts. I have learned a lot from this forum and would like to cont...

Re: Should Pro-Staffers Make Their Allegiance Known?
If tournament anglers aren't welcome here, you need to just let us know. I know of a few that have already left but I keep hoping that I'm just interpreting this stuff wrong. I thought that this is what the tackle and bass fishing sections was for, to discuss our preferences, likes and dislikes amon...

Re: Should Pro-Staffers Make Their Allegiance Known?
Also, after you've been here a while, you begin to notice the posters who recommend the same thing over and over again... ;) Well, that could mean several things, such as we're still using it and still believe in it even tho we're not sponsored, same but we are sponsored or we're full of crap and j...
