Re: Snake Lures
I have fished the old Hannon Snakebait by Burke and have had success. Seems to work better using a culprit (or any other type of trailer) than what is provided. The the new'er type 'Fishing Snake' that is pictured with the DVD package is a gimmick and the idea was from Hannon's business manager - no...

Re: New Bass Fishing Techniques
Not a new technique, but I'm going to try braid on all of my cranking setups and see how it does. I have always used 50 lb braid on my trap rods but never tried braid on my other cranking rods. I think I will try 30 lb PP first and see if I like it. I made that switch last year and I was pleased wi...

Not the Gamakatsu  . The damn keeper will come loose and twist your bait. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Super_Heavy_Cover_Flippin_Hook_4pk/descpage-GHSF.html These are the best hooks I have found for punching really heavy cover / usually thick hydrilla and you are spot on about the...

Re: TT.Com, Your Assistance Desired
Sounds like 'CW' Crawlfish, 'GALAB' Golden Aulburnus or "GF" Gold Fish, but GF doesnt have the black back - do you have a photo? Fleet Farm has a lot of shad raps and often discontinued. Also, you can ask the fellas over at rapala nation and i am sure they would know. http://rapalanation.com/board/6...

Re: SI for Trolling Motor
X2 with what toporanger said. I dont use it on the trolling motor either and not sure if you would want to- just network with your rear. I live in florida as well and aside from the river, there aren’t many lakes I fish that I get much use out of it- at least when compared to what it is capable of d...

Re: Rod for pixy
original pixys or newer ones, Loomis CBR 803,864 DF are my two favorites for very light/balsas like shad raps or thin fins. MB RVTG works well also, but doesn't perform as well for the non-aerodynamic type baits. pixy rods are obviously a very nice match, but they are a little too light and whippy w...

Re: What's your favorite Liberto PIXY (w/poll)
Very tough question and I have been getting a lot of work out of them lately as i just recently discovered how well they perform with 20lb braid and single hooked shadraps. I'm going with PX68 edging the pearl-zilla and then the amber. For whatever reason it took me a while to warm up to the PX68, b...
