Re: Product Insight : Zillion TWS a.k.a. Tatula Z?
Ive always said the "free floating spool" sounds great in theory, but gives no on the water tangible improvement in performance.

Re: TT Shootout : Zillion TWS vs Chronarch CI4+
Guess we have different experiences, I rountinely go down to one brake on my svs infinity and old svs shimanos when throwing lipless cranks and their was a marked difference in distance vs 2 brakes. The line does crown a bit in the middle of the cast but it always sorts itself out at the end. Not t...

Re: TT Shootout : Zillion TWS vs Chronarch CI4+
Nice to see another shootout because its been while! =D> I know the Chronarch squeaked by with a win but I want to point out that during the distance test with the lipless crank you were throwing, the Chronarch brake setting was about 50%. You could have easily went down to 1 brake shoe on and gain...

They compared the old zillion vs the old Chronarch d a few years ago. Zillion won.BigG wrote:I was hoping for a comparison to the old Zillion, but I guess that doesn't help us going forward. I not feeling the love for the TWS, if this is the platform.

Re: The Search for One : Shimano/Jackall's Biwako Versatile
Getting a 1 out of 5 in the rod sleeve department was a little weird. It came with a sleeve so it should have at least scored a 3 for having one.

Re: Don't be Fooled, Here's the Deal on Shimano's Exsence DC
New user here, great review. I've been fishing with this reel here in Sweden for about a month and it's replaced my 5500 Ambassadeur as my go-to trout fishing reel. I use only PE mode 1 and 2 depending on wind condition and I cast longer than my heavily tuned ABU. I've tried SP mode at night and it...

Re: Don't be Fooled, Here's the Deal on Shimano's Exsence DC
Nice review. The only characteristic that I noticed is that the reel isn't all that special with lighter weight lures, but excels at 1/2 ounce and up...your mileage may vary. Yeah, I agree with this but I may be biased as I use it for Ikas mostly. I didn't have a problem with 4 inch worms, though. ...

That was an entertaining review lol... Especially the part about the April fools prank I'm surprised the spool on Cals reel was so heavy, mine weighed in at 17 grams. The reel is a monster nonetheless.. Might have to pick up a couple more before its discontinued.

Awesome review, but why only a 3 pitch rating? The article doesn't mention anything about zander pitching with it?

Re: A Classic is Re-Made : Abu Garcia's Morrum ZX 3600/01
Nice review, I purchased and ultimately returned a JDM 1600 Mag version. The palming was excellent but the thumb bar was very loose and felt as if it would eventually fall off after some use. The clutch wouldn't re engage sometimes by just turning the handle and the retrieve felt rough and geary. Al...

Re: A Shining Star Amidst a Milkyway of Reels: The Antares
I know TT favors Daiwas and its their money and they can buy whatever they choose, but yeah, when the biggest player in the game comes out with an all new flagship reel you would figure that a site dedicated to tackle would be one of the first in line to try it instead of waiting 2 years. Still its...

Re: No comments on the Antares review?
The Antares can actually handle lighter baits than you would think, that thing has a darn light spool. If only it could sit lower on the rod and have a swept handle. I think the review came in a bit too late. There's no way TT could miss the new features that was on the Antares back in 2012 (Micro ...
