Re: Megabass Travel Rods

That's how it works. That spigot connection is less likely to twist out of alignment than the traditional 'north american ' type. At least that's my experience.

Upgrading bearing on slp and rcs alphas and steez sv spools

Has anyone tried doing this? If so, what bearing did you use in the upgrade on the spool shaft? Is it an improvement over the stock bearing that the slp and rcs spools originally have installed on them? :-k I am going to try HH BFS AIR 1030 bearing on some spool shafts.

I have a 7.9:1 , and use it for buzzbaits. It bombs 'em.

What gear ratio did you get?
I've got the 7:1 on a steez frog rod.
Perfect match and really bombs a frog.
You mean 7.9:1 , right?

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

that is my father, my hero, and the best fisherman I know. he basically uses senkos and craw imitations on his spinning tackle. constantly reminds the rest of us how easy fishing "can be" if you want it to be :) Easy , yes, but not nearly as fun as spending thousands of dollars on rods, reels, tackl...

Re: Replacing spool bearing on ALPHAS SV spool shaft question

you will need a 3X10x4 bearing for the spool. The reasoning behind the smaller diameter shaft and sleeve is to match bearing sizes as close as possible to lessen imbalance between the bearings. with shaft sizes the same both ends and similar sized bearings the balls in the bearings move at similar ...

Replacing spool bearing on ALPHAS SV spool shaft question

Question ,does anyone on this forum know if the bearing and the sleeve can be replaced? I attempted to use the bearing from my sunburst zonda spool, but it is thinner than the SV spool bearing and sleeve together. What is the purpose of the sleeve and why is it necessary? Can I just swap it out for ...

Re: TDZ , Steez swept drag star and cast contr. knob

I was also looking at the Tatula HD 100mm light gun metal grey. Yeah, sitting here looking at the reel, definitely light to medium grey. That's the handle I have on all my TDZ's, TD-ITO's and red and orange pixys . Looks good in my opinion, otherwise I wouldn't have put them on. \:D/ Did you need a...

Re: TD-Z 103,105, stock controls swept handle

The 100mm gunmetal color tatula handle will fit. You will not be able to back off the drag tension completely, but enough to stop any damage to the drag washers when the reel is not in use. That handle is on my tdz's, TD itos, red and orange pixys .

Re: Most reliable and thinnest 40/50lb braid line...

Don't spool 80 yards of braid, that's 240 feet. You'll never cast that far. A 150yd spool of line, using 150 feet lets you do 3 reel spools. No waste. That's plenty for bass fishing. I don't think that you can go wrong with TCB8, Samarai , Smackdown . Even the cheaper Jbraid and 832 are decent braid...
