Re: Educate me on high end JDM UL.
I had the Graphiteleader Finezza older version but sold it, I was not as crisp as I expected. I own 4 of the Evergreen Salty Sensation (yes you read it right ) from their range. I am looking to acquire another 2 versions. I only heard good things about the TIct rods but sticking to Evergreen.

Re: If I need new BFS reel?
The only rod I've ever owned that was made in Japan, with documentation to prove it was a couple of Olympic Graphiteleaders. They actually roll their own blanks in Japan. I know Evergreen uses some of their blanks as well, but I don't know if they're assembled in Japan All my Evergreen rods are mad...

I have a KTF Fenwick as well, ver1. I agree it's a nice rod and has all premium components.

Re: If I need new BFS reel?
[quote\] Fenwick Japan has a much bigger lineup. Killer blanks compared to what we get Been thinking about pulling the trigger on a Techno GP for some time now. I realize they are an older rod, origionally fetching $600, now can be had for a mid $200 price. One of the few JDM brands that has a 7'4 ...

Re: the "if you could only buy one BFS rod"
I have this the F3-67-4x secret shooting, it was a limited online edition. I got one and love it. I can take it anywhere.
According to Megabass it was based on Eiger Northwall.

Re: Longer cranbait rods
Thank you both for your reply. The biggest deep crankbait I use the Deep X-300. If a Deep X 300 is the largest crank you're using, without a doubt, the first generation XX Launcher at $199 shipped with full warranty through Megabass is hard to beat - that is if you're in the US! Unfortunately I am ...

Re: Longer cranbait rods
Thank you both for your reply. The biggest deep crankbait I use the Deep X-300. I like the the look of the F6-711XX Launcher. I read more about the Evergreen StrikeMaster77, it has a fast action so I ruled it out. From the older rods I was looking at the F5-711x F5-711X ‘Seven Eleven Cyber Shootist’...

Longer cranbait rods
I am looking for longer crankbait rod for deep cranking, length around 7’5”-7’10” i don’t mind if it’s current or old model. The only criteria is that it has to be either Megabass or Evergreen. What are you guys using, what would be your recommendation?

Re: Best line for crankbaits??
I use Sufix Super 21 in 13lb and 17lb mainly for shallow cranking between 1-8ft. I used this mono for a year now and very happy with it.

Re: ZPI magnet spools for Shimanos.
I have the ZPI magnet spools. They are very good as long as you use it for one specific setup and not change the lure weights too much . I would say in performance for short range it's on par with any SV spool. The big drawback is adjusting the magnets, on the water it's fiddly, whereas with the Dai...
