Re: Sufix Super 21 Mono
I bought some 14lb. test of it back whenever it was released and I used it for topwater. From what I remember, it worked just fine for me. For the cost of mono, I'd suggest buying a spool and trying it out for yourself.

It says so directly in the description if you read it.
Please kindly notice that it needs to use the original brakes, thanks

Re: losing rods off the deck of the boat...
I lost one about 20 years ago running down the lake because I forgot to strap the rod down. Jumped a wake and whenever I did that the rod stood itself up and the wind carried it right off the boat.
As a teenager with his first ever Curado, that image is still burned in my mind.

Re: New Curado 200/201K
The K has micro module gears which are different dimensions. One thing I noticed is the K gear case looks much different than the I. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking not. Keep in mind Rock, the body is advertised as 10% smaller, which is probably why we can't fit other gears in it...

Re: New Curado 200/201K
Maybe us 5:1 guys are a dying breed, but I love a good slow reel. Honestly, I fish my Cavitron buzzbaits with a 201E5. The 5 speed gives the bait a different sound that a higher speed 7:1 reel. I also get a different bubble trail as well.

Re: Lure Weights?
Most crankbait weights are the weight of the bait prior to adding the hardware and hooks to them.

SS SV 105 Difference
I've always been a Shimano guy, but this spring I bought myself an SV105 and I've fallen in love with this reel for throwing Senko's and Flukes. This reel seems like it was meant for these baits. Recently, the SS SV105 has caught my eye. Other than cosmetics, what is different about this reel?

Re: New Chronarch G
The official release! So looks like the only difference from the MGL is the spool then? Looks that way to me too. The big question is if they are interchangeable. I could see this really open opportunities for freshwater anglers who venture into salt. They could keep the MGL spool back home for bas...

If you look at the under corner of the reel, you can see the SVS dial is on the bottom (thankfully).LgMouthGambler wrote: Wheres the SVS adjustment located?

Re: 200 to spend on one rod.
In the $200 range, check out the Shimano Zodias and St. Croix Avid rods. Or if you can find a sale somewhere, a Dobyns Champion.
