The line is Bionic Braid, an Aussie braid that works pretty well for us. The SLP handles looked wrong on the reel, until I figured that they matched the line. Rod length is overlooked in skipping as well. Some try to skip with too long of a rod and have problems with the bait not hitting the water right.

The high speed metanium is a very good reel.Look at in the DC version for a little more control.

Keep in mind he is fishing form a boat and covering water as efficiently and as fast as he can. They cast and reel very fast.
