I find that what line you use and distance of casts can make a huge difference in rod selection for jigs. For instance someone who uses 20lb mono/flouro and casting might choose a stouter rod than someone using 65lb braid and pitching. Irregardless of cover type. But that's simply how I approach it....

I'm very seriously looking at the MB XXS F3.5-70 Shakey Head. I own a Black Elseil and love it, so i'm familiar with the Megabass rods. Anybody know how this rod balances with the 2004 size Luvias or Certate?

Get the TDZ, much more versatile. Also consider getting a Steez 100HA spool for it if you want more capacity.
