Well I took it out yesterday and it did pretty good. .. had to max out the brakes but 1/4 oz is do able and 3/8 did well... tough night though 30+ mph winds....

toro winch owners
Thinking about using my winch for salmon fishing off the harbors in chicago...... I was wondering how you guys think the reel will do with lighter crankbaits ... down to 1/4oz........ it would be paired up with a 7-6 mh cranking rod.

I personally feel the I throws lighter baits much more easily than the e... I will say that I miss the ability to set my brakes with 2 on and then just screw with the spool tension for any lure or free spool for pitching..... if I change a lure on the 201I I have to change my settings to fit but onc...

Love my shimano crucial crankbait rod (7-6) but I really want to get my hands on an envy crankbait rod. ... unfortunately I don't know anyone who owns one.... so without shelling out $180 on an unknown ...... wondering if any of you have or currently do own both of these rods and can give a comparis...

Iirc.. the insurance coverage is much higher with ups without additional cost than it is with usps... been awhile since I shipped anything substantial so it may have changed ..

After buying numerous crucial rods ..only to realize they aren't as good as there competition I was still happy with my purchase due to the warranty. ... doubt any new additions to my rod collection will say shimano. .... but never say never.....

Scan for constants..... if 8 of 10 people are saying flimsy drag star ....... or casts light weight lures well... ill put some stock in it but generally most of the print is opinionated blah.....

I like the blue shimano covers (fastest to remove and re- cover)... but the bass pro covers are good... you can cut and modify it as needed .. haven't had any issues with fraying of any sort

For me it to swivel or not depends...... the swivel seems to tighten up the spoons action.... a snap without a split ring works well on casting spoons and makes change outs quick. ... flutter spoons I like a split ring and tied direct
