Re: Daiwa TDA 153HST Upgrades
Are there any gear sets that can be switched out with the stock gears? And what handle would be a good choice? I'm not anticipating liking the stock handle. Thanks- Bass Junkie

Daiwa TDA 153HST Upgrades
I just purchased a Daiwa TDA 153HST as a project reel for this winter.... What are some common upgrades you guys would suggest for this reel? I'm thinking about Boca OS and Carbontex drag... Any other suggestions? Thanks and tight lines- Bass Junkie

Re: Baitcaster vs Spinning casting distance

However, I prefer baitcasters, even below 3/4 for convenience, weight, durability, ergonomic++ I recently had a wow experience. I bought...

Re: Favorite One Knocker Lipless Crankbaits?
I have used both the rattling and the One Knocker versions of the Excalibur and have not noticed the issue you mentioned. Have you tried multiple of the baits to make sure this is lure not a lemon? Also, what kind of retrieve do you experience this on?

Re: Baitcaster vs Spinning casting distance
In the hands of a capable fisherman a baitcaster will win in this situation due to the high diameter of the line causing a lot of drag in the spinning rods guides when it uncoils off the spool and through the first guide.

Re: 6 vs 7 feet rods
Would you mind explaining the logic behind this? The longer a rod, the longer the blank, and proportionality longer, the handle.... Longer rods have more leverage.... What am I missing?ecu daniel 14 wrote: shorter rod = more leverage.
