Re: 1 JDM rod for frogs, jerks, cranks, swimbaits?
I fish northern pike pike and my primary lineup for this is F7-71X7, F6-72X4, F6.5-74XBJ etc., and I'd get the Destruction. You'll have enough power to handle large pike, it casts all the baits really well, feels good with a Zillion which is perfect for the baits you mentioned. I use mine for moving...

Re: Info about Super Red Demon
I've come to like mine a lot for 6" swimbaits, large jigs and swimjigs, and even larger spinnerbaits. A LIN or Ryoga1016 is great on this rod with 1.5 - 3 ounce baits. I used a Z2020 and it worked out alright with 5 ounce baits, but for me the rod handle is too short for those. Has a good power to r...

Re: MB Orochi F6-72X4 Destruction
I just got mine and really like it. Have a bunch of MB rods by now from Phase 3, X7, XBJ etc. and this one still feels great and the super low price makes it even better :) Put a J-dream 6.3 on mine with 65 braid and use it for 1/2 - 1+ swimjigs - spinnerbaits - cranks and 6" huddles too. Anything t...

Re: Sunline sx1 for spy baiting
I fish these in high wind coastal areas and never had a wind knot. You need to manually flip your bail and have a sense whether or not the line is retrieved properly - you'll see this when you open the bail in preparation for a cast. I have had a few wind knots back when I used PPSS8 and USDM lines,...

Best JDM inshore spinning rods?
Hi What inshore spinning rods do you guys use to fish flats, bay areas, and such when it comes to JDM tackle? I've used the F3.5-610X4S and the new Simoom which are nice, but the Simoom is not the best for distance. I thought of trying the F4.5 Phase 3 Beathunts for the 7'3 length although there may...

Re: Sunline sx1 for spy baiting
I use PE # 0.6 for spybaits which would be an 8# SX1 as the line has a large diameter to test ratio.. I'd try the 10#. Thin line and the new G-fix from Duo gets you everywhere in the water column

Re: LIN and RYOGA side section compatible?
My Ruoga 1016L swaps with no modification onto the Lin 10 25th anniversary. I cant speak to the other Lin versions but I assume they are compatible. The side plate on the lin is actually thicker - but it fits/aligns seemlessly Thanks, I'm gonna order one for my LIN then :) I noticed as well from my...

Re: Large swimbaits mono lines
Appreciate the replies. Anyone familiar with Defier Armilo from Sunline, any good? Lists as suited for big swimbaits on their JDM site at least. I'm considering picking up a 25# test in that which is 0.405 mm, just fine for a 2020 Ryoga. Should work out very well...a little "high end" for swimbaiti...
