Re: Tatula Signature Series
Anybody purchase the frog rod? If so some thoughts? How it balance, especially compared to regular tatulas which are very light but a little tip heavy to me....

Shimano svs gen 1 vs 2
Can anyone explain the differences in the design or material of the SVs Gen 1 vs gen 2? I.e. Curado I vs that in the 70? What makes it quieter? Is it strictly materials? Or the way the brake blocks activate? Thanks

Quick shipping even with hurricane Matthew rolling through. Reels were as advertised. Would buy from again.

Re: New GLX rods
How about the flipping sticks? Loomis has always been especially poor balance wise with the heavier action rods. If any have handled, what is the early scoop on those?

Over at TW lots of complaints of line breakage, losing fish. Any comments? Experience it as well?

Re: Chatterbait Rod
So I've been on the same search last year or so. I throw chatterbait a lot, but get into a situation every year where fish are reacting but not so much eating just slapping at it. Tried Loomis spinnerbaits rod for years and it was fine until this situation arises. Been using the Fle-x-lite mh and it...

The part I always have trouble with is making the half hitch finish come out smooth as the rest of the tightened knot. I found wrapping it under tension best....

Re: Loomis NRX 895 balance
i have 893 and 894 and i agree the 894 isn't the most balanced rod but the 893 feels great. Fishing the 894 it's marvelous, is 895 really that bad? IMO yes. I don't own the 894 but the 895 is night and day worse than 893. Now this is from someone who's been battling tennis elbow for 18 mos, so I'm ...

Re: Weight or Balance..thoughts?
DavidSA, What did you get? I have an 895 that I added weight to and like it much better, it feels lighter when fishing and not tiring (I've had tennis elbow for going on a year so I can definitely tell) but my Orochi xx A Mart balances very well out of the box but the micro-ish guides are hard to to...
