I like a Dobyns Champion 733, for 1/4 - 3/8 light wire jigs and a Champion 734, for 3/8 - 1/2 jig with a beefier hook.

As 21farms pointed out; "palm their reels with all their fingers under the rod" well that's me, so the width does not bother me as much as the height of the reel.
