Re: KVD Series Squarebills in the Fall?
great bait over green weed tops. The key in this part of the country is to contact the weeds 4-5ft down and rip it through the longer pieces. Smallies and lmb love it both!

Favorite 6ft crank not named DT-6
Love fishing the DT-6 and so many fish over the years but time to expand my horizons... Right now I fish 1)LC RC Silent 1.5 - great bait 2nd best producer next to dt-6 2)Ima Pinjack 200 - shows promise but not enough time on water yet 3)Jackal MC60 MR - solid bait but not a consistent producer These...

Re: Rod Handles: Split Grip or Full Grip?
They should be designed for balance I think. Shorter, lightweight drop shot rods are nice with split grips. They balance well. Longer, heavy power rods I think should have full grips. Exactly my thought on the issue. Finesse rods - ok with split grip. Power rods - full grip for me. They balance bes...

Re: Xzone swammers?
This company has awesome customer service...received a few slammers awhile back that had a bent tail (probably my fault for bending pack in heat) and the owner sent replacements no questions asked. Love these guys and love their baits even more...smallie killers on the great lakes.

Re: absolute worst reel you ever owned
quantum accurist; seized up after 1 season of freshwater fishing. No amount of oil or TLC would keep that reel functioning. Almost made me not want to continue with bait casters...thankfully I found shimano the next year

Re: Expride and Poison Adrena - 1610M
IMO, the rods excels at jerk baits, square bills and 1/2 oz or lighter bottom contact baits. Not a pure crank bait rod with the faster taper but does also do well with topwater. LOVE this rod... (I have the poison adrena)

2014 New Technique Goals
Hey all...wanna see what everyone is going to try to master or give a shot this year. For me its... 1 - Chatterbait fishing pre spawners 2 - Spybait smallies on the great lakes 3 - Grinding smallies (heavy fball with a swim bait) Good luck. Nothing like sticking a big bass on a new technique for me!

Re: Damiki air frog
Checkout the TW vlog - there are at least 2 videos that showcase that frog and it looks pretty cool if you rig it right. I guess its a hybrid between a hollow bodied frog and a buzz toad.

Re: st croix legend tournament. worth the money?
the XF action rods used to be WAAAY too fast and would shut down at 6 inches from the tip. I sold all 3 XF rods I owned 5 years ago after dealing with poor fish fighting capabilities and many break offs. With that being said, I have not owned the latest generation XF legend rods and I have heard it ...
