I would think Griffon is just a right choice. I have tried the Pixy on the top of it and I was with the Griffon and also X-80 Trick Darter lastweek. Yes.... but please do not press the side of the brake holder cause you might brake those leg brake holder.

As I said before, use pen, take out the ink tube and press it with the pen.

The easiest part is to remove it and I removed my 1001XT this way


careful when u want to mount it back. Just make sure take out the ink from any pen and press it back with the pen

Conquest's 4 pin centri brake casts tiny lures great too, but only in ponds...

for a salt friendly reel i'd work backwards, meaning i'd look at all finesse spools on the market and find a compatible saltwater reel. for example, Avail has quite a few UL aluminum spools for a wide variety of reels... since you already have a Core perhaps look into an Avail tuneup spool instead ...
